Some bus routes link to other towns such as Muharraq and Isa Town.

The paper is based in Bahrain with its editorial offices located at Isa Town and commercial offices in Exhibition Road.

Other offices include the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Information, which includes the Bahrain Radio & TV broadcasting station, in Isa Town.

On the 15th of July 2012, the Isa Town marketplace caught fire, damaging more than 450 shops and causing damages amounting to hundreds of thousands of dinars.

It has now supplanted Isa Town in regard to population density ranking.

The party boycotted 2002's parliamentary elections, but took part in the Bahraini parliamentary election of 2006 ; among its candidates was its Vice President and former Harvard academic, Munira Fakhro, who contested an Isa Town constituency against Dr Salah Ali of Al-Menbar Islamic Society.

Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince of Bahrain (, born 21 October 1969 ) is the heir apparent of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and is deputy supreme commander of the Bahrain defence force.
