Hilversum is well connected to the Dutch railway network, and contains three stations:

North Jakarta contains part of Jakarta Old Town, formerly known as Batavia since the 17th century, and was a centre of VOC trade activity in Dutch East Indies.

In fact the Dutch penal code contains loopholes making it possible to delay trials indefinitely.

The language also contains some Portuguese influence, such as its words for butter ( mántéka ), table ( mésa ), shoes ( sapátu ), and some English and Dutch influences ; for instance, the word for milk ( míliki ), book ( búku ), or motor-car ( mótuka ).

The Salic law code contains the earliest surviving attestations of Old Dutch.

The program also contains details of wanton acts of destruction committed by the Dutch in the spice islands of Eastern Indonesia, the purpose of which was to create scarcity of natural produce in order to maintain price levels.

It contains a monument to Richard Nicolls ( 1624 – 1672 ), an Ampthill native, who, under the patronage of the Duke of York, brother to Charles II, to whom the king had granted the Dutch North American colony of New Netherland, received the submission of its chief town, New Amsterdam, in 1664, and became its first English governor, the town taking the name of New York.

It is surprising, to say the least, that a well-known ( Dutch ) publisher could produce an expensive book of such doubtful intellectual value, of which the only good word that can be said is that it contains an enormous amount of factual historical material, untidily ordered, true ; badly written, yes ; mixed-up with conjectural nonsense, sure ; but still, much useful stuff.

The dining room, now decorated with what appear to be Dutch tiles but is in fact trompe l ' oeil, contains a collection of small, mainly Dutch, paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries by such artists as Aelbert Cuyp, Adrian van Ostade and Jan Steen.

The Dutch Cottage Museum contains a variety of exhibits that illustrate the history of Canvey Island, and the Castle Point Transport Museum, also situated on Canvey in the retired District bus depot, features a display of over thirty old buses, coaches and commercial vehicles.

It contains a list of Dutch vessels and goods lost in North America, an account of the 1664 capture of New Amsterdam ( New York City today ) with the articles of surrender to Governor Richard Nicolls, and Michiel de Ruyter ’ s voyage to the West Indies.

The songs are compiled in what the students refer to as the codex, which contains the club anthems of most student organisations and hundreds of songs in various languages, such as Dutch, French, English, German, Latin and Afrikaans.

The last major structural additions were made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including the East front which contains the well-known balcony on which the royal family traditionally congregates to greet crowds outside.

William Shakespeare's play Henry IV, Part II contains a wry comment about people who claim to be related to royal families.

Herăstrău is located in the north of the city, around Lake Herăstrău, and is the site of the Village Museum, while the Botanical Garden is the largest of its kind in Romania and contains over 10, 000 species of plants, many of them exotic ; it was once a pleasure park for the royal family.

Appendix A of The Lord of the Rings contains genealogies of the royal house of Númenor, and several sections of Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-earth deal extensively with Númenor and several of its kings.

The 14th-century English cookbook, the Forme of Cury, contains recipes for these, and dates from the royal court of Richard II.

The Balinese Badung ( Puri Pamecutan ) royal banner also contains red and white element, their flag is red, white, and black that probably also derived from Majapahit origin.

Larnax | Golden Larnax ( Chrysi Larnaka ) ( with the Sun of Vergina on the lid ) that contains the remains ( bones ) from the burial of King Philip II of Macedonia and the royal golden wreath.

The royal castle domain also contains the magnificent greenhouses of Laeken, a set of dome-shaped constructions, accessible to the public only a few days a year.

The church contains the royal crypt, where the members of the Belgian Royal Family are buried.

There are ruins of a number of temples, including the chief temple dedicated to Amun, and a very important royal necropolis of the Third Intermediate Period ( which contains the only known intact royal Pharaonic burials — the tomb of Tutankhamun having been entered in antiquity ).

The royal chronicle of Manipur, Cheitharol Kumbaba, contains many references to the development of Kangla by successive reigning kings in Manipur.

A Buddhist temple under royal patronage, the centuries old Wat Chana Songkram, is directly opposite Khaosarn Road to the west, while the area to the northwest contains an Islamic community and several small mosques.
