Kajang, is a town in the eastern part of Selangor, Malaysia.

Kajang is the district capital of Hulu Langat.

Kajang is governed by the Majlis Perbandaran Kajang.

One of Kajang's landmarks is Stadium Kajang which is situated in the heart of the town.

It is near a popular hangout place among the locals named Haji Samuri, which is also home to the famous dish satay Kajang.

Another landmark is the Kajang Mosque or Masjid Kajang, which is easily recognisable by its bright yellow facade.

Because the position of Kajang between three major city ( Kuala Lumpur, Seremban and Putrajaya ), this city is included in Klang Valley or Greater Kuala Lumpur.

Kajang is famous for its sate ( alternate spelling satay ), a form of skewered barbecued meat.

Stalls and restaurants around Kajang offer not only the more traditional chicken or beef satay, but also more exotic meats such as venison, rabbit or fish, as well as gizzard, liver, and a number of other variations.

The total population of Kajang has grown rapidly in the past few years, with estimated population growth of 9 % per annum.
