Land Force Western Area ( LFWA ) is one of four operational commands of the Canadian Army.

The regiment is a part-time reserve unit, under the command of 41 Canadian Brigade Group, itself part of Land Force Western Area ( LFWA ), one of four land force areas in Canada.

This appointment includes, for example, the Division Chief Warrant Officer ( DCWO ) of 1 Canadian Air Division and the Area Sergeant-Major ( Area SM ) of Land Force Western Area ( LFWA ).

LFWA is headquartered at CFB Edmonton in Edmonton, Alberta.

LFWA is responsible for all Canadian Army administration and operations in western Canada from the Pacific Ocean to Thunder Bay, Ontario.
