Johnny Lee Bench ( born December 7, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ) is a former professional baseball catcher who played in the Major Leagues for the Cincinnati Reds from 1967 to 1983 and is a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

In 1999 Lee was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

In 2003, " There'll Be Another Spring: A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee " was held at Carnegie Hall.

On March 19, 2010, the CBC posted a video interview with Lee and Lifeson where they discussed Rush's induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame on March 28, 2010, at the Toronto Centre for the Arts ' George Weston Recital Hall.

Lee was born at Stratford Hall Plantation in Westmoreland County, Virginia, the son of Major General Henry Lee III ( Light Horse Harry ) ( 1756 – 1818 ), Governor of Virginia, and his second wife, Anne Hill Carter ( 1773 – 1829 ).

They were joined by then-Congressman Steve Largent, who represented the newest inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame ; of the four others who had been named to Hall's Class of 1995, two of them, Lee Roy Selmon and Kellen Winslow were also in attendance.

With the maturation of quarterback Doug Williams and future 4-time Pro Bowl tight end Jimmie Giles, the first 1000-yard rushing season from running back Ricky Bell, and a smothering, league-leading defense led by future NFL Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon, the Bucs kicked off the season with five consecutive victories, a stunning performance that landed them on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

At the extreme northwestern edge adjacent to Skiffe's Creek and the border with James City County is the Lee Hall community, which retains historical features including the former Chesapeake and Ohio Railway station which served tens of thousands of soldiers based at what became nearby Fort Eustis during World War I and World War II.

After his success at Chancellorsville in Virginia in May 1863, Lee led his army through the Shenandoah Valley to begin his second invasion of the North — the Gettysburg Campaign.

With his army in high spirits, Lee intended to shift the focus of the summer campaign from war-ravaged northern Virginia and hoped to influence Northern politicians to give up their prosecution of the war by penetrating as far as Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, or even Philadelphia.

Lee led his army on a torturous retreat back to Virginia.

Hubble was born to an insurance executive, John Powell Hubble, and Virginia Lee James in Marshfield, Missouri, and moved to Wheaton, Illinois, in 1900.

* 1864 – American Civil War, Overland Campaign: Battle of Cold Harbor – Ulysses S. Grant gives the Confederate forces under Robert E. Lee a victory when he pulls his Union troops from their positions at Cold Harbor, Virginia and moves south.

In June 1862, in his most successful move, Davis assigned General Robert E. Lee to replace the wounded Joseph E. Johnston in command of the Army of Northern Virginia, the main Confederate Army in the Eastern Theater.

After being inspired by a poster featuring a local, Hollywood burlesque performer Virginia Lee Hicks, who was then performing as Jennie Lee, the " Bazoom Girl ", at the New Follies Burlesk at 548 S. Main St, Los Angeles, Ginsburg wrote a tribute song " Jennie Lee " that he brought to Berry and Torrence.

Maj. Gen. Robert E. Lee, now commanding the armed forces of Virginia, ordered him to report to Colonel Thomas J. Jackson at Harper's Ferry.

However, when Gen. Robert E. Lee became commander of the Army of Northern Virginia, he requested that Stuart perform reconnaissance to determine whether the right flank of the Union army was vulnerable.

Robert Edward Lee ( January 19, 1807 – October 12, 1870 ) was a career military officer who is best known for having commanded the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia in the American Civil War.

When Virginia declared its secession from the Union in April 1861, Lee chose to follow his home state, despite his personal desire for the Union to stay intact and despite the fact that President Abraham Lincoln had offered Lee command of the Union Army.
