*" Midnight on the Firing Line " marks the first mention of Londo's dream foretelling his own death.

* The Narn conquest of Ragesh III which included the abuse of his nephew to justify it, his own humiliation in council chambers over the issue and his government's impotent response to the incident establishes a personal motivation for Londo's dream of restoring Centauri dominance.

Londo's dream of Shadow ships flying overhead above him comes true in this episode, albeit with a few changes.

* Cartagia had G ' Kar's eye plucked out, fulfilling part of the prophecy of Londo's dream, also seen during Sheridan's trip to the future in " War Without End "

From this point on, Londo becomes trapped by his association with Morden and his newfound prestige with the Centauri government, and Morden becomes less friendly and more manipulative, especially after he is confronted by Londo's aide, Vir Cotto.

However, Morden simply moves on to assisting Londo's associate Lord Refa, until a concerned Londo slips Refa one agent of a binary poison in an effort to stop him from dealing with Morden.

Garibaldi is accosted by Centauri Ambassador Londo Mollari ; the two lightheartedly joke about past Centauri-Human relations before Londo's diplomatic aide, Vir Cotto, arrives with news of the attack on Ragesh 3.

Vir enters Londo's quarters with news of a signal from the relay station at Ragesh 3.

Sheridan and Delenn, as she helps him to do up his jacket ( he has difficulty due to the injury he received to his arm whilst defending Vir from the attack of the Narn ), are about to kiss as Ivanova interrupts summoning him to Londo's quarters, with news that every last Narn prisoner transferred by Vir is now listed as dead.

Having thus learned of Londo's plan, Refa tells the Minister that he will end the rivalry by presenting the Emperor with the much-wanted Narn rebel G ' Kar, thus winning the Emperor's favor for his House.

Later, Vir ( who had been sent due to his reputation for not being dangerous ) arrives in Londo's quarters with the instrument of the assassination: a sophisticated poisoning needle designed to inject an undetectable neurotoxin and leave no obvious wounds — the death will look like a dual cardiac arrest.

But G ' Kar coldly refuses Londo's offer and refuses even to share a drink with him to signal their new alliance.

Vir pleaded with Londo to sever his ties with Morden, yet Londo's desire to restore the glory of the Centauri Republic made him ignore Vir's opinion.

When The Shadows successfully destroy all their assigned targets, Londo's mysterious association with a powerful military force earns him tremendous political advancement in the Centauri Republic.

Using Londo's agreement with the Shadows forces, Refa personally oversees the war.

Undeterred, Morden approaches and re-establishes his business relationship with Refa, much to Londo's dismay.

However, Londo really wants nothing more to do with Morden, so when Londo gives him the brush off, Morden arranges for Londo to care again, by setting up the murder of Londo's true love, Adira.

However shortly after, Morden discovers Londo's love, Adira, who comes to the station, and has her poisoned, convincing Londo it was Refa's doing.

As it turns out, Londo had anticipated such a move from Refa and planned accordingly ; furthermore Londo has two personal reasons for Refa's death: Londo ( wrongly ) believes Refa had killed Londo's mistress Adira, and also because Londo was forced to kill his best friend due to Refa's manipulations.

Refa sees him and his " associates " as the tools necessary to complete the transition of power ; while he initially believes Londo to be a fellow sympathizer, Londo's escalating reservations about Refa's ruthlessness in the Centarum lead Refa to consider disposing of him once he has outlived his usefulness.

Straczynski has described Londo's accent as being that of the " old school " of the Centauri Imperial Court.

Lennier discovers the true nature of Londo's appendages, and Londo learns a little about Minbari culture: that honesty is valued, but that one may lie to save face for another.

G ' Kar, unaware of Londo's actions and feeling differently about the Centauri since the Emperor's apology, offers to buy Londo a drink.

Malachi is also a friend of Londo's, so Refa doesn't tell him in advance about the murder.

These developments have wounded Londo's pride in his people and self and he is extremely bitter about his people's loss of face.

In Londo's quarters, Delenn introduces Mollari to Draal while taking him on a tour of the station.

After learning of the attack G ' Kar attempts to enter Londo's quarters to kill him, but Captain Sheridan and a security team prevent him from doing so.

Londo's desire for revenge makes him suitable for Morden's needs.

On one of Londo's rare excursions outside of the royal palace, they forced him to give John Sheridan and Delenn an urn as a present for their son when he came of age ; the urn contained a Keeper, and the Drakh intended to take control of David Sheridan some time in the future.

The prophecy also foreshadows several key events in the future, such as G ' kar having his eye plucked out (" the eye that does not see "), Emperor Londo allowing Sheridan (" the one who is already dead ") and Delenn to escape imprisonment and free Centauri Prime from the Drakh, Londo's death at the hands of G ' kar (" surrender to greatest fear, knowing that it will destroy ") and the ascension of Vir Cotto to the throne.

Once there, G ' Kar will be captured by soldiers loyal to Londo's House and turned over to the Centauri Emperor, thus winning the Emperor's favor for Londo.

As G ' Kar arrives, Londo's plan begins to unravel as Cartagia reveals that he had ordered G ' Kar's weakened chains replaced.

But to everyone's astonishment, G ' Kar still manages to break free of his bonds, allowing Londo's plan to proceed anyway.

After the death of G ' Kar on Centauri Prime, Emperor Vir Cotto honored G ' Kar and Londo's sacrifice by building a gigantic statue of them at the main gates to the Centauri capital city.

In an elaborate plot staged to maximize Londo's political gain, Refa is lured to the Narn homeworld in expectations of capturing G ' Kar, who is on Narn ostensibly looking for his old assistant, Na ' Toth.

In many ways Vir emerges as Londo's conscience throughout the series, and Vir is often far more wise and perceptive than Londo and the other Centauri.

Londo's assistant, Vir Cotto, sees through Morden's duplicitous disguise and urges Londo to reconsider, but is ignored.

Vir, in Londo's quarters, attempts to get the Ambassador to go to the council meeting.

He brings in a live transmission from Ragesh 3, featuring Londo's nephew Carn, bruised and obviously ( at least to Human and Centauri perceptions ) coerced into reciting a prepared statement by his captors, who claims that the leaders of Ragesh 3, suffering internal disputes, requested assistance from the Narn after receiving no reply from Centauri Prime.

He is using her to get a copy of Londo's Purple Files, a stash of dirt and information on Centauri's elite that Trakis hopes to sell to the highest bidder, possibly including the Narn.

Adira, despite Londo's interest in having her stay, decides to leave the station.

Two of his wives, Daggair and Mariel, compete for Londo's affections, while the third, Timov, bluntly rejects any such competition.

Following the Emperor's collapse Refa and Mollari meet in Londo's quarters.

Refa and Mollari visit the Emperor on his deathbed, the Emperor whispers something in Londo's ear before he passes away.

* This episode marked the beginning of the Narn-Centauri War, as well as marking a significant step in Londo's rise to power.

He threatened Londo that Earth will send observers to the area to determine how the Narns were defeated so swiftly, despite Londo's objections.

Vir finds himself spiralling downward for having to constantly keep Londo's secrets.
