) The Beatles did a cover version of " Words of Love " that was a close reproduction of Holly's version, released on late 1964's Beatles for Sale ( in the U. S., in June 1965 on Beatles VI ).

Dalida released " J ' attendrai ", which became a big hit in Canada and Japan, and Cerrone's early hit songs, " Love in C Minor ", " Give Me Love " and " Supernature " became major hits in the U. S. and Europe.

In 1953, Day appeared as the title character in the comedic western-themed musical, Calamity Jane, winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song for " Secret Love " ( her recording of which became her fourth U. S. No. 1 recording ).

She has composed over 3, 000 songs, the best known of which include " I Will Always Love You " ( a two-time U. S. country chart-topper for Parton, as well as an international pop hit for Whitney Houston ), " Jolene ", " Coat of Many Colors ", " 9 to 5 ", and " My Tennessee Mountain Home ".

Their original career produced three LPs: Another Music in a Different Kitchen, Love Bites, and A Different Kind of Tension, each supported by extensive touring in Europe and the U. S. Their trademark sound was a marriage of catchy pop melodies with punk guitar energy, backed by an unusually tight and skilled rhythm section.

Dave Edmunds ' band Love Sculpture included the Mars movement on their 1970 album " Forms and Feelings ," though this was only included in the U. S. version of the album due to Holst's family preventing worldwide release of the track.

Long drawn-out jams in numbers like " Spoonful ", " N. S. U. ", " I'm So Glad ", and " Sweet Wine " became live favourites, while songs like " Sunshine of Your Love ", " Crossroads ", and " Tales of Brave Ulysses " remained reasonably short.

Their first release, " Sugar Baby Love " was an instant hit remaining at number one in the United Kingdom for four weeks in May 1974, while reaching number 37 on the U. S. chart that August, and remains their best-known record.

Love initially began several music projects in the 1980s, first forming Sugar Babydoll, and then having a brief stint as a singer in Faith No More after " demanding " them to let her be in their band.

The Bee Gees used Barry Gibb's falsetto to garner hits such as " You Should Be Dancing ", " Stayin ' Alive ", " Night Fever ", " More Than A Woman " and " Love You Inside Out ".

These include " Seasons Change " by Exposé, " Thinking of You " by Sa-Fire, " One More Try " by Timmy T, " Because I Love You ( The Postman Song )" by Stevie B, and " If Wishes Came True " by Sweet Sensation.

After she covered the 10cc song " The Things We Do For Love " for the Mr. Wrong soundtrack, Behind the Eyes was released in September 1997.

The biggest change Robbins made was a new opening number to replace " Love Is in the Air " and introduce the show as a bawdy, wild comedy.

The title of the album was apparently inspired by historian Eric Lott's book Love & Theft: Blackface Minstrelsy and the American Working Class, which was published in 1993.

Dylan meant that title, of course, and he means this one too, which doesn't make " Love and Theft " his minstrelsy album any more than Self Portraits dire " Minstrel Boy " was his minstrelsy song.

" Run From Love " was subsequently released in a remix form on the Bronski Beat album Hundreds & Thousands, a collection of mostly remixes ( LP ) and b-sides ( as bonus tracks on the CD version ) as well as the hit " I Feel Love ".

In a news update to the official website on 11 August 2010, it was revealed that their eighth studio album would be titled Belle & Sebastian Write About Love.

The first single from the album, as well as the record's title track " Write About Love ", was released in the US on 7 September 2010.
