Luys Milan ( c. 1500 – after 1560 ) and Luys de Narváez ( fl.

Luis de Milán ( also known as Lluís del Milà or Luys Milán ) ( c. 1500 – 1561 or possibly later ) was a Spanish Renaissance composer, vihuelist ( instrument similar to the guitar ), and writer on music.

Jules Bernard Luys ( 1828 – 1897 ) was a French neurologist who made important contributions to the fields of neuroanatomy and neuropsychiatry.

It was first described by Jules Bernard Luys in 1865, and the term corpus Luysi or Luys ' body is still sometimes used.

It was within this book that Luys provided the first description of the structure that is today called the subthalamic nucleus.

They start with a " Good Morning " ( Armenian: Բարի լույս Luys ) quick toast, which is later followed by another quick toast for the hosts.

In 1873, Luys published the first photographic atlas on the brain and nervous system: Iconographie Photographique des Centres Nerveux.

Luys termed this nucleus the bandelette accessoire des olives supérieures ( accessory band of the superior olives ) and concluded that it was a centre for the dispersion of cerebellar influence upon the striatum.

In recognition of Luys discovery Auguste Forel ( 1848 – 1931 ) gave the subthalamic nucleus the name corpus Luysii ( Luys ' body ), a name still sometimes used today.

In Paris, following another scare, doctors declared Kalliope mad and she stayed for seven and a half months in Jules Bernard Luys ' asylum in Ivry-sur-Seine.
