Shortly after David's tenure on the book ended, Forge, a former government weapons contractor whose mutant powers were his brilliant engineering skills, was added to the group ; first replacing Cooper as their liaison after she had been compromised by one of Magneto's Acolytes, and later as an active member.

One of the others who escaped is Magneto, who admits that he had tipped the authorities onto Longshot's location in the first place, as part of Magneto's own escape plan ; Magneto wanted Longshot and his luck power present as an " edge " to guarantee success.

The first season mainly concerned the characters ' conflict with Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants as well as served as an introductory to many of the characters to allow people to get used to these new teenage versions.

Magneto's first original title was the four-issue miniseries Magneto ( November 1996-February 1997 ), by writers Peter Milligan & Jorge Gonzalez, and penciller Kelley Jones.

He later makes an appearance in the final confrontation against Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants, rescuing his father after he is thrown off of a roof by Quill, Arclight, and Psylocke.

* Angel has a cameo appearance in Magneto's ending in the video game Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

With Magneto's help, Xavier holds off Danger until the X-Men arrive.

* In the Wolverine and the X-Men continuity, Genosha is a mutant paradise under Magneto's rule.

The X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants had to liberate it from his control while using Magneto's sanctuary as a hub.

* In the X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse ( which is loosely based on the Age of Apocalypse storyline ), Avalon is Magneto's base in the Savage Land.

Evil's Mini-Me, Wario's Waluigi, and Magneto's Mystique ( only in the X-Men live action films ).

To save his own life, he betrayed the X-Men and even kidnapped Rogue and Magneto's infant son.

* Pyro also appeared in the X-Men: Evolution series as part of Magneto's elite team ( also known as the Acolytes ) where he is voiced by Trevor Devall and has a heavy Australian accent.

* Pyro subsequently appears in X-Men: The Last Stand as a member of Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants.

A trade paperback novel detailing Magneto's childhood, titled X-Men: Magneto Testament, was released in September 2008, and written by Greg Pak.

Before the publication of X-Men: Magneto Testament, Magneto's personal background and history was established in Uncanny X-Men vol.

While the X-Men attacked Asteroid M to rescue Moira and stop Magneto's plans, the Soviets launched a particle beam satellite which destroyed Asteroid M. Betrayed and abandoned at the last minute by Cortez, Magneto refused Xavier's pleas to escape with the X-Men back to Earth and he and his followers seemingly perished in the subsequent explosion.

The X-Men responded by hacking into Avalon's own computer systems to teleport a small team to the station with the aid of Colossus ( who had joined Magneto as one of Magneto's Acolytes ).

* In X-Men: The Animated Series, Thunderbird is featured with Magneto's evil mutants in the title sequence.

When Colossus ' sister Illyana fell ill and died of the Legacy Virus in Uncanny X-Men # 303 ( August 1993 ), he left the X-Men and joined Magneto's Acolytes.

During a battle between the X-Men and Magneto's Acolytes, Xavier used his telepathic powers to shut down Magneto's mind, rendering him catatonic.

* In the sequel X2: X-Men United, her name appears on a list of names Mystique scrolls through on Stryker's computer while looking for Magneto's file.

Eventually the X-Men learn of Magneto's plan to cover the Earth in darkness from his base on Asteroid M.

The X-Men managed to defeat him, but Jean was killed by an electromagnetic pulse from Magneto before she could identify Sublime hiding within Magneto's mind.

* According to the book adaptation of X-Men: The Last Stand, she was the leader of the Marauders, an all-mutant gang before joining Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants.

Pyro has apparently defected from the Xavier Institute to Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants, as he and Mastermind are shown capturing the superhero Valkyrie in The Ultimates 3 # 4.

The X-Men # 4 introduced Magneto's team, the Brotherhood of Mutants, including Mastermind, the Toad, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch Scarlet witch and quicksilver are both magneto's children.

In issue # 130, she later meets May Parker while aiding civilians from Magneto's worldwide attack.

The manner in which Xavier's powers function indicates that his telepathy is physical in some way, as it can be enhanced by physical means ( for example, Cerebro ) and can be disrupted by physical means ( for example, Magneto's alteration of the Earth's magnetic field ).

This incarnation of Pyro is somewhat disturbing and seems to enjoy what he does ( as he laughs hysterically while watching Magneto's " death " at the hands of Apocalypse over and over ).

Secondly, he wanted to be acknowledged as a heroic figure and the rightful leader of all mutantkind ( hence the disappearance of Charles Xavier and the timing of Magneto's rise to dominance before other superheroes had appeared on the scene to challenge him ).

Like his Earth-616 counterpart, this Exodus was one of Magneto's most powerful followers, though lacking the cruelty of his mainstream counterpart ( something that may have been linked to his romantic involvement with the AoA version of Dazzler ).

A period of general turmoil and a number of attacks by superhumans, including Magneto's Acolytes who were unwilling to forgive the former Genoshan government for its crimes against mutants, followed.

He takes part in the X-Men's final confrontation with Magneto's army and shows his true power by fighting Pyro one-on-one.

* Amongst many other mutants, Drake is seen going to the new mutant home-Taa II-led by Magneto, in Magneto's ending in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

In Ultimates 3, it is revealed that the dinosaurs were conjured by Scarlet Witch as a result of her reality warping abilities and not by Magneto's creation.

Later, she is affected by Magneto's machine which enhances the mutant gene in humans.

Starving, and haunted by the betrayal of his romance lover ( Rogue ), Gambit made his way back into Magneto's citadel, where he encountered the psionic essence of a dead mutant named Mary Purcell.

In an alternative world where Professor Xavier and Magneto's roads did not separate, Sage was found by both men, and was never sent to spy on Sebastian Shaw in the Hellfire Club.

As a result, he possesses Magneto and briefly reactivates his powers before being defeated by the New Avengers and a cadre of heroes, including Magneto's former son-in-law Vision and mutant S. H. I. E. L. D.

After a further betrayal by Cortez, discovered by Magneto's UN advisor Alda Huxley to be the leader of the Genoshen cabinet assisting a rebellion in Carrion Cove, Magneto is restored to full power by one of the Genengineer ’ s machines and as he no longer needs Cortez, pulls him from a prison in Hammer Bay, Genosha fifty miles to Carrion Cove in less than 20 seconds.

At one point in the battle, Cortez grabs Loa by the throat and demands to know Magneto's location, saying that even though Selene wants Magneto alive he will fight the mind-control and kill him anyway.
