There is a State of Florida Historical Landmark Marker ( over 50 years old ) at the original Lighthouse Dock site dedicated on February 21, 2004, to the first charter-boat captains at the 1926-1951 dock.

The Pennsylvania State Historical Marker located here reads: " The bluff at Main St. and Park Ave. was the site on Aug. 14, 1794, of a meeting of 226 whiskey rebels.

Although it is no longer in production and the building has been demolished, a State Historical Marker stands at its site.

The marriage site is now the Afton Fairgrounds, located on New York State Route 41 on the east side of the Susquehanna River ; and a New York State Historical Marker commemorates the location.

A South Carolina Historical Marker has also been erected at the site.

Another site claiming to have relation to the historical figures that Evangeline was based upon is the Arceneaux House in Hamshire, Texas, which is marked by a Texas Historical Marker.

January 22, 2009, marked the 50th anniversary of the Knox Mine Disaster, with an annual memorial mass at St. John's Catholic Church in Pittston Pennsylvania, and a ceremony held at the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Port Griffith, which is the site of a commemorative monument and a State Historic Marker, erected in 1999 by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

The Harding birthplace is no longer standing ; however, the site is marked by an Ohio Historical Society Marker.
