Marston's Brewery ( Marston's plc ) () is a brewery which owns over 2, 000 public houses in the United Kingdom and is the world's largest brewer of cask ale.

In 1999 the Company purchased Marston, Thompson & Evershed of Burton upon Trent ( including Marston's Brewery which had been founded in 1834 ).

In 2005 Marston's Brewery took over production under licence from Interbrew of Draught Bass, succeeding Coors.

The company now owns and operates five breweries: the Park Brewery in Wolverhampton brews Banks's, Hanson's and Mansfield beers ; the Marston's Brewery in Burton upon Trent brews Marston's and Bass ; the Jennings Brewery in Cockermouth ; the Wychwood Brewery in Witney ( which includes the Brakspear Brewhouse ); and the Ringwood Brewery in Hampshire.

It was recently taken over by Marston's Brewery, who plan to keep the brewery and all its brands, but lease out its tied public houses.

The production licence came to an end in 2005, and the licence to brew draught Bass has been taken up by Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries PLC, who started production at the Marston's Brewery, also in Burton.

Marston's Brewery signed to a 10 year sponsorship of the ground and it became known as the Marston's Stadium.

The village's older pub, the Royal Oak, closed in February 2008 and a new Marston's Brewery pub / restaurant, the ' Kittiwake ', is now open at the junction of Menzies Road / Gordon Road.

Marston's is also the only remaining brewer to use Burton Union Sets ; a system whereby fermentation barrels and troughs are linked together by a complex system of copper and brass pipework.

Quigley leaves Cora with the townspeople and rides to Marston's ranch where he first shoots Marston's men from a distance.

Marston's servant comes out of the house and gives Quigley his rifle then walks away from the ranch, stripping off his western-style clothing as he goes.

The first was The Malcontent in 1603 ; this satiric tragicomedy is Marston's most famous play.

Draught Bass ( 4. 4 % ABV ) has been brewed under contract in Burton by Marston's for AB-InBev since 2005.

Katherine Duncan-Jones accepts a 1600 – 1 attribution for the date Hamlet was written, but notes that the Lord Chamberlain's Men, playing Hamlet in the 3000-capacity Globe, were unlikely to be put to any disadvantage by an audience of " barely one hundred " for the Children of the Chapel's equivalent play, Antonio's Revenge ; she believes that Shakespeare, confident in the superiority of his own work, was making a playful and charitable allusion to his friend John Marston's very similar piece.

On 12 July 2007, it was announced that Ringwood had been purchased by Marston's plc for £ 19. 2 million.

In non-Shakespearean roles, he probably played Pasarello in John Marston's The Malcontent ; indeed, Marston may have added the part for him when the play was produced by the King's Men.

Also in 1604, he adapted John Marston's The Malcontent for staging by the King's Men.

Contemporary authors were bemused or surprised by Marston's change of career, with several of them commenting on its seeming abruptness.

Facilities in the stand include two pitch-view restaurants: the Marston's Suite and the Executive Club, together with the David Heath Suite, currently used by Warwickshire members.

Marston's killing of aborigines is technically illegal, but he implies that it is tolerated by the local military police with whom Marston has " an arrangement.

According to their son, Marston's wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston was also involved in the development of the systolic blood-pressure test.

According to the Fall 2001 issue of the Boston University alumni magazine, it was Marston's wife Elizabeth's idea to create a female superhero.

Marston's pseudonym, Charles Moulton, combined his own and Gaines ' middle names.

In 1941, Max Gaines accepted William Moulton Marston's proposal for the first successful female superhero, Wonder Woman.

A line in Marston's Pigmalion's Image ( 1598 ) indicates that Hall wrote pastoral poems, but none of these have survived.
