Clement Martyn Doke ( 16 May 1893 in Bristol, United Kingdom – 24 February 1980 in East London, South Africa ) was a South African linguist working mainly on African languages.

Yeats was a driving force behind the Irish Literary Revival and, along with Lady Gregory, Edward Martyn, and others, founded the Abbey Theatre, where he served as its chief during its early years.

In 1896, Yeats was introduced to Lady Gregory by their mutual friend Edward Martyn.
