Expansion Module # 2

From its introduction, Coleco had touted a hardware add-on called the Expansion Module # 1 which made the ColecoVision compatible with the industry-leading Atari 2600.

Expansion Module # 2 is a driving controller expansion that consists of a steering wheel, gas pedal and the pack-in game Turbo.

Expansion Module # 3, the final hardware expansion module, was released in the summer of 1983.

Module # 3 converts the ColecoVision into a full-fledged computer known as the Coleco Adam, complete with keyboard and digital data pack ( DDP ) cassette drives.

There were also rumors that Expansion Module # 3 was to have incorporated an RCA CED player to store larger amounts of data.

Due to the shape of the Supercharger, it will not fit into the ColecoVision's Expansion Module # 1, which is an adapter that allows the ColecoVision to play Atari 2600 games.

Apollo 12's Lunar Module Intrepid landed 600 feet from Surveyor 3, as planned.

The Apollo 12 Lunar Module landed near Surveyor 3 on November 19, 1969.

The Surveyor 3 landing site was later selected also as the landing target for the Lunar Module of the Apollo 12 manned lunar mission in 1969.

Module output drops by approximately 3 % during the first few hours of light exposure.

Versions prior to 3. 0 created STM ( Scream Tracker Module ) files, later ones used S3M ( ScreamTracker 3 Module ).

An external Audio Control Module ( ACM ) provides a built-in dual-microphone array and 3. 5 mm microphone / headphone jack connections.

The Apollo Command Module used on Skylab 3 is currently on display at the visitor's center of the NASA Glenn Research Center at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

It supports both loading and saving of IT ( Impulse Tracker ), XM ( FastTracker Extended Module ), MOD ( Protracker and similar ), S3M ( Scream Tracker 3 ) and MPTM ( its own file format ) files, imports many sample file formats, and has some support for DLS banks and soundfonts.

Kennedy's goal was accomplished on the Apollo 11 mission when astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed their Lunar Module ( LM ) on the Moon on July 20, 1969 and walked on its surface while Michael Collins remained in lunar orbit in the command spacecraft, and all three landed safely on Earth on July 24.

The second of the so-called J-missions, the mission was crewed by Commander John Young, Lunar Module Pilot Charles Duke and Command Module Pilot Ken Mattingly.

In January 1972, three months before the planned April launch date, a fuel tank in the Command Module was accidentally damaged during a routine test.

Following transposition and docking, the crew noticed the exterior surface of the Lunar Module was giving off particles from a spot where the LM's skin appeared torn or shredded ; at one point, Charlie Duke estimated they were seeing about five to ten particles per second.

Command Module Pilot Ken Mattingly reported a " gimbal lock " warning light, indicating the craft was not reporting an attitude.

At a distance of from the Moon, the Scientific Instrument Module ( SIM ) bay cover was jettisoned.

The remainder of flight day four was spent making observations and preparing for activation of the Lunar Module, undocking, and landing the next day.

" The pair's first task of the moonwalk was to unload the Lunar Roving Vehicle ( LRV ), along with other equipment, from the Lunar Module.

While deploying a heat-flow experiment that had burned up with the Lunar Module Aquarius on Apollo 13 and had been attempted without success on Apollo 15, a cable was inadvertently snapped after getting caught around Young's foot.

Flight day seven was to be Young's and Duke's third and final day on the lunar surface, for they would return to orbit to rejoin Ken Mattingly in the Command / Service Module following the day's moonwalk.

During this time, Mattingly was preparing the Command / Service Module in anticipation Young's and Duke's return approximately six hours later.

The crew's next task, after jettisoning the Lunar Module ascent stage, was to release a sub-satellite into lunar orbit from the CSM's Scientific Instrument Bay.

The first EVA in deep space was made on August 5, 1971, by American Al Worden, to retrieve a film and data recording canister from the Apollo 15 Service Module on the return trip from the Moon.

Worden was assisted by James Irwin, doing a standup EVA in the Command Module hatch.

He was the twelfth and last of the Apollo astronauts to arrive and set foot on the Moon, as Apollo 17 crewmate Eugene Cernan exited the Apollo Lunar Module first.

Apollo flights 18 and 19 were cancelled in September 1970, but Schmitt was assigned in August 1971 to fly on the last lunar mission, Apollo 17, replacing Joe Engle as Lunar Module Pilot.

A lunar lander was also developed in 1938-39 which influenced design of the Apollo Lunar Module in the 1960s.

Its two major components, the Saturn Workshop and the Apollo Telescope Mount, began their development as separate projects ( the SWS was kludged from the S-IVB stage of the Saturn 1B and Saturn V launch vehicles, the ATM was kludged from an early design for the descent stage of the Apollo Lunar Module ).

The Airlock Module's manufacturer, McDonnell Douglas, even recycled the hatch design from its Gemini spacecraft and kludged what was originally designed for the conical Gemini Command Module onto the cylindrical Skylab Airlock Module.
