In 2008, Mudhoney began recording their next album with producer Tucker Martine, The Lucky Ones, which was released in May 2008.

The Limp Richerds were a hardcore punk rock band from Seattle, Washington which featured Mark Arm and Steve Turner ( later of Mudhoney and Green River ) in one of their many lineups.

Kurt Danielson went on to join Valis, a project which included members of Screaming Trees and Mudhoney.

Such duets include the 2005 cover of Mudhoney ’ s Touch Me I'm Sick which featured on the bands The Brutal Language record and more recently Repose from the bands Ghosts and Good Stories record.

Smith felt his solo songs were not representative of the music Heatmiser was making: " The idea of playing music for people didn't occur to me ... because at the time it was the Northwest — Mudhoney and Nirvana — and going out to play an acoustic show was like crawling out on a limb and begging for it to be sawed off.

Mudhoney was also notable for its mixing of heavy blues rock and punk rock.

In the liner notes of the reissued Superfuzz Bigmuff, Jay Hinman wrote: My feeling — and I know I ’ m not alone in this one — is that for all the play and worldwide attention several Seattle-area bands got during the 1988-92 period, at the end of the day ( and even at the time ), there was Mudhoney — and then there was everybody else.

In the 1990s New Cross club, The Venue was central to the Indie Rock and Brit Pop scenes and played host to gigs by many of their finest purveyors including Oasis, Radiohead, Pulp, Squeeze, Levellers, Cast, Shed Seven, Sleeper, Cornershop, Bluetones, Suede, PJ Harvey, Catherine Wheel, Belly, Ocean Colour Scene, Lush, Chumbawamba, Ash, Mudhoney, and Hole.

Also featured in the film are Mark Arm, Dan Peters and Matt Lukin of Mudhoney, Courtney Love of Hole, and roadie Joe Cole, who was murdered in a robbery three months after the tour ended.

Formed in the late 1980s as an alternative metal band ( they picked their name after seeing the Russ Meyer film of the same name as part of a Russ Meyer triple bill-there was already a band named after Mudhoney and a band named after Faster, Pussycat!

The band soon relocated to Sydney where Stu had previously met Guy Maddison of the Greenhouse Effect ( now in Mudhoney ) in Perth, Maddison now living in Sydney was offered the opportunity to play bass for Lubricated Goat.

The group was so named because it was made up of the full Alice in Chains lineup, Mark Arm of Mudhoney, and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden.

The 1980s also saw the birth of the grunge genre, with the arrival of such bands as Soundgarden, Green River, Melvins, Screaming Trees, Malfunkshun, Skin Yard, The U-Men, Blood Circus, Nirvana, Tad, Mudhoney, Mother Love Bone and Alice in Chains ( who formed in 1987, but did not release their first album until three years later ).

Bands such as The Victims and Cheap Nasties, spawned icons of the Australian music scene such as Dave Faulkner and James Baker, who formed one of the most popular Australian bands of the 1980s, the power-pop band Hoodoo Gurus, and the legendary Kim Salmon, who formed the Scientists, an influence on bands such as Mudhoney and The Jesus Lizard.

Gossard formed a close friendship with fellow guitarist ( and future Mudhoney member ) Steve Turner, who also had attended the Northwest School, and joined Turner in his band The Ducky Boys.

Remaining in Seattle, Lukin formed the grunge band Mudhoney with vocalist Mark Arm and guitarist Steve Turner, both formerly of Green River, and drummer Dan Peters, formerly of Bundle of Hiss.

That August Sub Pop released the first single by Mudhoney, a band featuring former members of Green River.

Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge is the second studio album by the grunge band Mudhoney.

In May 2006 the band were invited by Mudhoney to play at the All Tomorrow's Parties ( ATP ) festival in the UK.

Citizen Dick's song name " Touch Me, I'm Dick " is a word play on the song " Touch Me, I'm Sick " by the Seattle band Mudhoney.

The Dicks saw a resurgence in popularity at the onset of the grunge craze when Sub Pop Records released a cover of " Dicks Hate The Police " by Seattle band Mudhoney.

The label also branched out into international releases, issuing albums ( under license ) by overseas bands such as Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Dinosaur Junior and Big Black.
