The promise has three elements: posterity ( i. e., descendants-Abraham is told that his descendants will be as innumerable as the stars ), divine-human relationship ( Israel is to be God's chosen people ), and land ( the land of Canaan, cursed by Noah immediately after the Deluge ).

Japheth ( Hebrew יפת, Yapheth, Modern Hebrew: Yafet ; Greek Ἰάφεθ, Turkish Yafes, Iapheth, Latin Iafeth or Iapetus, Arabic يافث ) is one of the sons of Noah in the Abrahamic tradition.

Noah and instructed

The story of Noah and the ark is told in chapters 6 – 9 of the book of Genesis, and also told in chapter 71 of the Quran.
