Ntombi, Indlovukazi of Swaziland ( born c. 1950 ), has been the Indlovukazi ( Great She-Elephant ) and Joint Head of State of Swaziland since 1986.

In October 1985, Queen Regent Ntombi demonstrated her power by dismissing the leading figures of the Liqoqo.

The first regent was Queen Dzeliwe, but after a power struggle Sozisa deposed her and replaced her by Queen Ntombi, while at the same time Ntombi and Sobhuza's young son Mswati was designated as Crown Prince.

But instead of recognizing one of her sons as his heir apparent, he indicated to his Loqoqo that he wanted his son by Ntombi, Prince Makhosetive Dlamini, to succeed him on the throne.

As Queen Mother, Ntombi is seen as the spiritual and national head of state, while her son is considered the administrative head of state.

Following a 9-day period during which Swaziland was ruled by Prince Sozisa Dlamini, Ntombi was selected as queen regent.

He is one of many sons of king Sobhuza II ( who had 70 wives, 210 children and at the time of his death left over 1000 grandchildren ) and the only child of Ntombi Tfwala, also known as Inkhosikati LaTfwala, one of the king's younger wives.

For the next four years two wives of the late king Sobhuza II, Queen Dzeliwe Shongwe ( 1982 – 1983 ) and Queen Ntombi Tfwala ( 1983 – 1986 ), served as regent while he continued his education in England, attending Sherborne School, before he was called back to take over.

In 1984, an internal dispute led to the replacement of the prime minister and eventual replacement of Dzeliwe by a new Queen Regent Ntombi.
