Rapture is used in at least two senses, in the sense of pre-tribulation views in which a group of people will be " left behind " and as a synonym for the Resurrection generally.

The resurrection of Lazarus is understood as a foreshadowing of the Resurrection of Jesus, and many of the Resurrection hymns normally chanted on Sunday ( and which will be replaced the next day with hymns for Palm Sunday ) are chanted at Matins on the morning of Lazarus Saturday.

In the Eastern Orthodox Church, Pentecost is one of the Orthodox Great Feasts and is considered to be the highest ranking Great Feast of the Lord, second in rank only to Easter / Resurrection Sunday / Passover.
