* Either / Or, an influential philosophical text by Søren Kierkegaard, purports to be a collection of texts discovered and edited by Kierkegaard's pseudonymous author Victor Eremita.

Or the founding texts of psychoanalysis may themselves be treated as literature, and re-read for the light cast by their formal qualities on their theoretical content ( Freud's texts frequently resemble detective stories, or the archaeological narratives of which he was so fond ).

Two of these have French texts ( Or se depart and N ' ay je cause d ’ estre lies et joyeux ) and are in the ars subtilior style, highly complex and mannered ( Reaney 2001 ).
