The grave of Princess Yourievsky ( 1878-1959 ) who was a member of the ill-fated Russian Royal family and who lived in North Hayling for many years, may be found in St. Peter's churchyard ; and the grave of Scotsman George Glas Sandeman, nephew of the founder of Sandeman Port and second head of that company, is prominently featured in the north-east part of St. Mary's graveyard.

* Princess Catherine Yurievskaya, the youngest daughter of Alexander II of Russia, lived on Hayling Island for many years and was buried at St Peter's church in 1959.

Charles Frederick himself was married to Grand Duchess Anna, Peter's daughter.

Peter's successors ( Anna I of Russia, Elizabeth of Russia, Catherine II of Russia ) had built various gates, but Red Gates in Moscow were the only ones that survived to 20th century.

Peter's constant changes frustrate Diane into quitting, so he plays Anna himself.

This dome is the third for size in Italy, after St. Peter's Basilica and Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence.

He was buried in St. Peter's Basilica but was later transferred to Santa Maria sopra Minerva.

The two works that testify to his presence in this city, the Tomb of Giovanni Crivelli at Santa Maria in Aracoeli, and the Ciborium at St. Peter's Basilica, bear a strong stamp of classical influence.

The emperor fled for the second time to St. Peter's ( or, according to other sources, to Santa Maria in Trastevere ), where he was captured and beheaded by Gundobad or by Ricimer on 11 July 472.

Bramante's vision for St Peter's, a centralized Greek cross plan that symbolized sublime perfection for him and his generation ( compare Santa Maria della Consolazione at Todi, influenced by Bramante's work ) was fundamentally altered by the extension of the nave after his death in 1514.

It is doubtful if all the monuments there attributed to him are of his own hands ; there is no question about the tomb of the Florentine Francesco Tornabuoni in the Church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, the remains of the monument to Pope Paul II in the crypt of St. Peter's, and the beautiful little marble tabernacle for the holy oils in St. Maria in Trastevere bears the inscription Opus Mini.

Snake asks why she is so involved in the affairs of Sir Peter Teazle, his ward Maria, and Charles and Joseph Surface, two young men under Sir Peter's informal guardianship, and why she has not yielded to the attentions of Joseph, who is highly respectable.

San Carlino is remarkably small given its significance to Baroque architecture ; it has been noted that the whole building would fit into one of the dome piers of Saint Peter's .< ref >

As St. Peter's was progressing, there was concern that Michelangelo would pass away before the dome was finished.

Henry V was then crowned in St. Peter's on 13 April 1111, and, after exacting a promise that no revenge would be taken for what had happened, withdrew beyond the Alps.

On one of the emperor's visits to St Peter's Basilica, the pope openly called him to account for his favourite's conduct, exhorting him by the grave of St Peter to promise that he would allow no schismatical assemblies in Rome.

The senior Cardinal Deacon, or Cardinal Protodeacon, then appears on the balcony of Saint Peter's Basilica to proclaim the new Pope, informing the world of the man elected Pope, and under which name he would be known during his reign.

The building would have been over 200 metres high and 250 metres in diameter, sixteen times larger than the dome of St. Peter's.

Its dome is the second largest in Rome after that of St. Peter's Basilica, whereas the dome of Saint Peter's would have fitted through the oculus in the dome of the Berlin Volkshalle.
