The idea of demonology had remained strong in the Renaissance, and several demonological grimoires were published, including The Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy which falsely claimed to having been authored by Agrippa, and the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum, which listed sixty-nine different demons.
Much the same description is found in the earlier text of Johann Weyer's catalog of demons, Pseudomonarchia Daemonum ( published 1563 ).
