NeXT's original investor Ross Perot resigned from the board of directors in June 1991 to dedicate more time to Perot Systems, a Plano, Texas-based systems integrator.

The result was Batman Returns which featured Michael Keaton returning as the Dark Knight, and a new triad of villains: Danny DeVito ( as the Penguin ), Michelle Pfeiffer ( as Catwoman ) and Christopher Walken as Max Shreck, an evil corporate tycoon and original character created for the film ( similar to Superman IIIs Ross Webster ).

The producers were uninterested in the 72-year-old original Match Game host, however, and chose stand-up comedian and former Late Show host Ross Shafer as Convy's replacement.

The Dutch artists Ross and Iba released a song entitled ' Wassenaar ,' which poked fun at the wealth of the town.

In this context, it should be mentioned that Diana Ross & the Supremes, frequent guests on Sullivan's show, debuted their then-release and eventual controversial # 1 hit song " Love Child " on Sullivan's show, but nothing about its title or its content about a woman in poverty having a child out of wedlock seemed to faze Sullivan, the show's producers, or the network.

The song got the attention of Tommy Boy Music employee Dante Ross, who signed Latifah and in 1988 issued her first single, " Wrath of My Madness.

In 1985, comedian Ross Shafer led a movement to make " Louie Louie " the state song of Washington, which failed.

During his brief heyday, Sherman's parodies were so popular that he had at least one contemporary imitator: My Son the Copycat was an album of song parodies performed by Stanley Ralph Ross, co-written by Ross and Bob Arbogast.

The song may have had more poignancy for Sherman, as he, unlike Stanley Ross, was genuinely overweight.
