In the system as adopted in 1926, US 2 instead took the inland route, while US 1 followed the coast, absorbing all of the former Routes 24 and 1 in New England.

Mercer County has county routes, state routes, U. S. Routes and Interstates that all pass through.

Three U. S. Routes run through Edwards County, all meeting in Kinsley.

The town of Zinc has no state highways nor U. S. Federal Routes which passes through nor nearby within a few miles in all directions, however, two well known county roads do travel into and near the town.

Several state routes, including Route 102, Route 183 and U. S. Route 7 all pass through town, with Routes 102 and 7 sharing a short stretch in downtown Stockbridge, and Routes 102 and 183 meeting in the village of Larrywaug.

Route 347 and County Routes 548, 550 and 552 all pass through the Township.

In addition, the New Jersey Turnpike begins right where Routes 49, 40, 130 and 295 all intersect with one another.

State Routes 41, 125, and 247 all intersect.

Routes 347, 247, and 107 are major traffic routes beyond Bell Mountain to all Lackawanna Valley points north of Scranton, such as Olyphant, Peckville, Eynon, and Jermyn.

TAPS Public Transit is the sole transit provider for Sherman, with two fixed routes ( the Roo and Viking Routes ), and curb to curb paratransit for all residence.

Additionally, Routes 27, 53, 80, and 106 all end in the town, with all except Route 27 ( which ends at Route 106 ) ending at their intersections with Route 3A.

Routes to climb to the summit start from all of the main dales that radiate out from central Lakeland.

Routes 32, 142, 204, 251, 292, 302, 305, 614 and 644 all meet at the junction of Watling Avenue, Stag Lane and Burnt Oak Broadway.

Significant through roads in Kensington include Maryland Routes 185 ( Connecticut Avenue ), 193 ( University Boulevard West ), and 547 ( Knowles Avenue ).

There are four Indiana state roads in the county, as well as three U. S. Routes and one railroad line.

Other secondary north-south roads are Routes 89, 198, 97, 21, and 49.

Other secondary east-west roads are Routes 14, 101, 171, and 197.

Four Indiana state roads cross the county, as do two U. S. Routes and one major railroad line.

An interstate highway, two U. S. Routes and five Indiana state roads cross the county, as does a major railroad line.

The principal roads through the town are U. S. Route 44 ( running east-west ) and Routes 169 ( running north-south ), and 101 ( running east-west ).

A plan to repair city streets was also implemented in 1982, and continues ; the village also offers public services to clear the streets during the fall and winter from fallen leaves and snow respectively, although on its arterial roads ( Illinois Routes 22, 45, and Aptakisic Road ) residents are provided with bags to clear their curbs during autumn months as it is not possible for the village to safely clear these roads of leaf debris.

Hartville lies halfway between Akron and Canton, at the intersection of two main roads, State Routes 43 and 619.

Its numbered roads include the east-to-west Highway 22 and north-to-south Routes 512 and 987, which connect Bath with Bethlehem and Allentown as Bath Pike and Airport Road, respectively.

The township's numbered roads include north-to-south Routes 145 and 873 and east-to-west Routes 248 and 946.

Major roads through the area are US Route 322 and State Routes 350, 504, and 53.

York Region assigned approximately 50 roads as York Regional Routes, meaning that the cost of maintaining of these roads is paid for by York Region.

Though they are independent roads, separate from National Routes, there are a series of access roads toward the archipelago of the city.

Routes are occasionally numbered to match the names of major roads and motorways which connect the same destinations ; examples of this practice include the NCN Route 62, which by connecting the two sides of the Pennines mirrors the M62 motorway.

Routes 11 and 190 continue to the north, intersecting with many locally maintained roads in Slidell.
