Interstate 16 ( I-16 ), also known as Jim Gillis Historic Savannah Parkway or State Route 404 ( SR 404 ), is an intrastate Interstate Highway located entirely within the state of Georgia, United States.

SR 288 is paved within and north of the town, totaling about ten miles ( 16 km ) of pavement.

The lodge is reachable via a 10-mile ( 16 km ) turnoff from SR 410 near the White River entrance.

The Brigade Headquarters is now co-located with HQ ARRC at Gloucester, with one signal regiment at Stafford and 16 SR in Germany currently scheduled to move to Stafford in 2015.

The first portion was dedicated on May 16, 1969, and opened soon after, extending north from the Riverside Freeway ( SR 91 ) to Nutwood Avenue.

On 16 November 2009, AAI entered a 40 year exclusive license agreement with Carter Aviation concerning a possible autonomous slowed rotor / compound ( SR / C ) aircraft with potential for increased speed ( 250 knots ) and range ( 1300 nautical miles ) delivering 3000 pounds cargo, compared to traditional rotorcraft.

About 10 miles ( 16 km ) east of SR 95, Boundary Cone Road meets with old 66, now named the " Oatman Highway.

SR 16 originates at Interstate 5, runs through the city of Tacoma, and crosses the Tacoma Narrows of Puget Sound on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to Gig Harbor on the Kitsap Peninsula.

SR 16 is a freeway for its entire length with the exception of two local driveway access north of Gig Harbor, for which several options to improve safety are being considered, and several at-grade crossings at the northern endpoint in Gorst.

Although the route of SR 16 geographically runs north – south, its even number indicates an east – west route, and is usually signed as such, with the western terminus in at State Route 3 in Gorst near Bremerton on the Kitsap Peninsula and the eastern terminus at Interstate 5 in Tacoma.

The mileposts on SR 16 increase from east to west, instead of the usual practice of west to east.

This is due to the pre-freeway routing which began at Interstate 5 at Pacific Ave. SR 16 followed Pacific Ave north into downtown Tacoma, turned west onto 6th St, continued under the current SR 16 freeway, and then turned northwest onto Olympic Boulevard which led to the Narrows Bridge.

At the eastern terminus, SR 16 crosses the Nalley Valley viaduct.

SR 16 has also become the second state highway in Washington State to have exit numbers posted at interchanges.

Several projects along SR 16 have been conducted as part of a revitalization of freeways in the Tacoma / Pierce County area.

The last project to be completed on SR 16 is rebuilding the Nalley Valley viaduct for a new, expanded interchange with I-5.

During 2008, with snow going into April, SR 504 wasn't opened until May 16.

The freeway section of the highway has 16 interchanges, and is cosigned with SR 59 for a short distance from Perkins Avenue in Akron to Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls.

The same year the section from Newcomerstown to Uhrichsville became State Route 16 and SR 8 was rerouted from the Ohio River town of Fly to Uhrichsville.

It continues north through relatively flat, rural farmland and then passes through the small town of Creston, continuing north and terminating at SR 41.

It is multiplexed with US 301 and 441 until it reaches Florida SR 492 ( Northwest 10th Street ), then makes a sharp turn onto NW 10th Street then curves northwest through Williston, Perry, Tallahassee, and beyond.

The John Land Apopka Expressway ( Toll 414 ) opened on May 15, 2009, relieving some of US 441's traffic, taking the route from what is now the US 441 junction with SR 429, and then passing south of the city to rejoin US 441 at its junction with Maitland Boulevard South of the city.

from the east, SR 21 passes through the center of town by becoming East 2nd Avenue then turning left on to North I Street then right onto North 1st Street.

It then passes over the Columbia River as the Blue Bridge with a view of the Cable Bridge ( SR 397 ) to the east as it proceeds toward I-182 / US 12.

SR 17 used to run from Santa Cruz all the way through San Jose, Oakland ; and then continued north via the Eastshore Freeway ( Interstate 80 ) through Richmond to the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and San Rafael.

It then continues northward through the city of San Diego, where it intersects SR 94, also known as Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway ,.

As it continues through downtown San Diego, it meets SR 15, the southern stub of I-15 It then meets El Cajon Boulevard, which was formerly signed as I-8 Business, then passes under Hazard Memorial Bridge that carries Adams Ave. before going over Mission Valley.

It then meets SR 163, also known as Cabrillo Freeway.

It then continues through suburban San Diego, where it meets SR 52 in Clairemont Mesa.

Then, the freeway, now concurrent with US 12, goes east into Richland, where I-182 / US 12 become concurrent with SR 240 for one mile ( 1. 6 km ), and then SR 240 splits south into Kennewick ; meanwhile I-182 / US 12 goes over the Columbia River on the Lee / Volpentest Bridge into Pasco.

The freeway then ascends above grade to pass over San Pablo and 27th Street before reaching I-580 and SR 24.

From there to the northwest, U. S. 45 and 45W are concurrent with unsigned Tennessee State Route 5 from the Mississippi state line to Union City and then with U. S. 51 ( unsigned SR 3 ) to the Kentucky state line.

It was built from the southern terminus of SR 1 ( the Pacific Coast Highway, or " PCH ") and continued northbound on roughly the same route it follows today, following Newport Road ( today Newport Boulevard ) northeast to Tustin, and then Tustin Avenue north to near its current terminus at SR 91.
