It connects SR 1 in Laguna Beach through the San Joaquin Hills with several freeways in Irvine, ending at the SR 241 toll road in the latter city.

SR 133 is a freeway ( the Laguna Freeway ) to I-5, and a tollway ( part of the Eastern Toll Road ) to SR 241 near the Santa Ana Mountains.

In 1998, the majority of the Eastern Transportation Corridor opened, and the connector between I-5 and SR 241 was designated as a toll extension of SR 133.

After crossing I-5, SR 133 becomes part of the Eastern Toll Road along the northwest side of Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, crossing an interchange with Irvine Boulevard at exit 12 before ending at SR 241.

To prevent the route from changing numbers as it crossed I-5, the southern portion was renumbered SR 133 in 1996, with the remainder becoming an extended SR 241.

State Route 241 ( SR 241 ) is a state highway in the U. S. state of California.

Heading north, SR 241 passes through Irvine before meeting SR 133, another toll road.

SR 241 meets its terminus at SR 91 near the Santa Ana River.

In the middle of this interchange, SR 261 merges with SR 241 ; the latter continues north towards SR 91.

SR 236 expands to a divided highway again at Quaker Lane and meets the northern end of SR 241 ( Telegraph Road ) at a trumpet interchange ; SR 241 provides access to I-95 and I-495 ( Capital Beltway ) and Eisenhower Avenue to the south.

* 1959 – SR. N1 hovercraft crosses the English Channel from Calais, France to Dover, England in just over 2 hours.

The other starts at SR 44 in Wildwood west of Exit 329 on I-75 and crosses the Marion County line towards Ocala.

As it crosses Imperial Highway ( SR 90 ) near the Brea Mall and enters Brea, SR 57 enters more rugged terrain before climbing through Brea Canyon, the gap between the Chino Hills and Puente Hills.

The Blair County Veterans Memorial Highway ( SR 4008 ) parallels the valley west from Altoona and crosses under the curve via a tunnel.

As SR 39 crosses into Michigan it becomes M-239.

SR 15 crosses into Michigan just north of Pioneer, Ohio, where it becomes M-99.

After SR 4 the road enters Helmer and crosses the Indiana Northeastern Railroad track.

Then SR 9 crosses into Michigan as M-66 heading north toward Sturgis.

SR 72 crosses over the Central Arizona Project aqueduct southeast of McVay.

After this, SR 24 crosses the Contra Costa County county line through the triple-bore Caldecott Tunnel and offers some attractive views of the hilly terrain through which it passes.

SR 24 crosses the Mokelumne Aqueduct soon after entering the city of Lafayette.

SR 37 travels in a northeasterly direction along the White Slough before turning east as it crosses over State Route 29 and heads to its eastern terminus at I-80.

After passing Isleton, the highway crosses the river on the Isleton Bridge, a bascule bridge built in 1923, and runs along the west shore on Grand Island, where it meets the east end of SR 220.

The Walnut Grove Bridge carries County Route J11 east across the river to Walnut Grove, and, at the north end of the island, SR 160 crosses the 1924 Steamboat Slough Bridge onto Sutter Island and then the 1923 Paintersville Bridge across the Sacramento River to the mainland, both bascule bridges.

The light rail, which crosses the river between the two directions of SR 160, soon leaves at the Del Paso Boulevard interchange as the freeway turns east.

Immediately after splitting from US 101, SR 46 crosses the Salinas River, passing near the Paso Robles Municipal Airport, and then heads east through a hilly area with several wineries and the community of Whitley Gardens.

The Ridge Route crosses the West Branch California Aqueduct with SR 138, splitting to the northwest on Gorman Post Road.

I-575 crosses the Little River between Woodstock and Holly Springs, and has four bridges over the Etowah River in northeastern Canton, as it flows under the southern half of the Riverstone Parkway ( former SR 5 ) exit.

I-195 begins at the eastern end of the I-95 and SR 112 interchange, heading east with interchanges with Miami Avenue and US Highway 1 ( US 1 ) before heading to the Julia Tuttle Causeway, where the interstate crosses Biscayne Bay.

Turning eastward from SR 28 at Judy Gap, US 33 crosses North Fork Mountain at about, with a turnout on the western slope offering a scenic view of the Germany Valley below and the more distant Allegheny Front from Spruce Knob to Dolly Sods.

US 250 exits Norwalk and crosses US 20 / SR 18 ( Norwalk Bypass ) at a diamond interchange.

The U. S. Highway crosses the Banister River at Terrys Bridge and meets the coincident termini of SR 360 ( Bethel Road ) and SR 344 ( Scottsburg Road ) near Scottsburg.

US 360 crosses over the Danville – Richmond rail line and meets the western end of SR 92 ( Clover Road ) south of the town of Clover.

* 25px SR 40, a west-to-east road in central Volusia County enters the county from the Astor Bridge over the St. Johns River and heads east towards Ormond Beach.

* 25px SR 44, a west-to-east road in southern Volusia County enters the county from the Crows Bluff Bridge over the St. Johns River and heads east towards New Smyrna Beach.

* 25px SR 46, a west-to-east road on the southwestern corner of Volusia County enters the county from the Mims Bridge over the St. Johns River and quickly enters Brevard County with no major junctions whatsoever.

The GNP & BR was formed from the merger of two earlier, but unbuilt, tube-railway companies taken over in 1901 by Yerkes ' consortium: the Great Northern & Strand Railway ( GN & SR ) and the Brompton & Piccadilly Circus Railway ( B & PCR ).

The other major road is Dallas Boulevard, formerly SR 13, which used to link to East Colonial Drive but has not for decades since a portion north of Wedgefield was demolished and sodded over.

The construction of a two-lane steel truss bridge over the Yakima River west of Thorp in 1936, prepared the way for the designation of the Thorp Highway, from State Route 10 ( SR 10 ) to US 97, as SSH 3M ( Secondary State Highway 3M ) in 1937.

In December 1959, the Duke of Edinburgh visited Saunders Roe at East Cowes and persuaded the chief test-pilot, Commander Peter Lamb, to allow him to take over the SR. N1's controls.

Latimer-Needham and Cockerell devised a 4 foot ( 1. 22 m ) high skirt design which was fitted to the SR. N1 to produce the Mk V, displaying hugely improved performance, with the ability to climb over obstacles almost as high as the skirt.

It then passes over the Columbia River as the Blue Bridge with a view of the Cable Bridge ( SR 397 ) to the east as it proceeds toward I-182 / US 12.

The Southern Railway ( SR ), which had absorbed the LSWR in 1923, offered the LNC the temporary use of Waterloo station to allow the Necropolis Railway service to be continued, but refused to allow the LNC to continue to sell cheap tickets to visitors travelling to and from the cemetery stations other than those involved in a funeral that day, meaning those visiting the cemetery had little reason to choose the LNC's irregular and infrequent trains to the cemetery stations over the SR's fast and frequent services to Brookwood.

The decision prompted complicated negotiations with the SR over the future of the LNC facilities in London.

Then, the freeway, now concurrent with US 12, goes east into Richland, where I-182 / US 12 become concurrent with SR 240 for one mile ( 1. 6 km ), and then SR 240 splits south into Kennewick ; meanwhile I-182 / US 12 goes over the Columbia River on the Lee / Volpentest Bridge into Pasco.

The freeway then ascends above grade to pass over San Pablo and 27th Street before reaching I-580 and SR 24.

The segment of SR 55 from Finley Street to the Newport Channel bridge was legally authorized to be turned over to the city of Newport Beach in 2009.
