William Antony Swithin Sarjeant ( 15 July 1935 – 8 July 2002 ), also known by the pen name Antony Swithin, was a professor of geology at University of Saskatchewan.

Marcus Simon Sarjeant ( born 1964 ) is notable for firing six blank shots at Queen Elizabeth II as she rode down The Mall to the Trooping the Colour ceremony in 1981.

Sarjeant, who was from Capel-le-Ferne, near Folkestone, Kent, went to Astor Secondary School in Dover.
