When Nekron is defeated, Larfleeze takes the ring from Luthor, leaving him powerless, and allows Luthor to remain on Earth with the Green Lanterns ( although Sinestro notes that this is the first time Larfleeze has given anyone anything ).

# Lethal force is authorized against the Sinestro Corps.

As of 2011, Sinestro is still an unwilling Green Lantern, Hal remains exiled ( although he has been forced to assist Sinestro's activities with a ring created and powered by Sinestro ) while Kyle has gone AWOL alongside six members of the other Lantern Corps.

During the fight, the entire Corps is kidnapped by Sinestro to act as a power source for a doomsday device.

The leader of the Corps is Sinestro, with Abin Sur, Kilowog, and Tomar-Re being central characters.

One year later, Superboy is released from his prison by the newly-formed Sinestro Corps and joins them, becoming one of their heralds and wearing a Sinestro Corps uniform beneath his Anti-Monitor inspired armor.

He again appears in the sixth issue as he is deputized into the Sinestro Corps for 24 hours in order to combat the Black Lanterns.

Scarecrow is chosen as a bearer of the twin of Sinestro's yellow ring as a temporary Corpsman, giving him the powers of a member of the Sinestro Corps.

In the Green Lantern Corps story " Tygers ", by Alan Moore, Abin Sur is witness to a prophecy which states that among the gathered enemies to destroy the Green Lantern Corps would be the " Weaponers of Qward "; the Sinestro Corps War storyline is a partial fulfillment of that prophecy, later to be known as " The Blackest Night ".

Following Sinestro's return to the Green Lantern Corps and his subsequent destruction of the Sinestro Corps, the Weaponer has made a yellow ring for Arkillo, one that is free from the lethal boobytraps that Sinestro had implanted in all previous yellow lantern rings, for in turn have the chance to get inside Invictus ' ship.

Thaal Sinestro is a fictional character, an alien supervillain / anti-hero in the DC Comics Universe.

Created by John Broome and Gil Kane, Sinestro is the former mentor of Hal Jordan and the arch-nemesis of the entire Green Lantern Corps.

The Green Lantern Corps is once again reformed with the return of Hal Jordan so Sinestro decides to found the Sinestro Corps, offering yellow power rings and a role in the Corps to the most feared and savage warriors of the universe.

Sinestro is to be executed on his homeworld of Korugar.

After being taken to Ysmault, he is nailed to a cross to await his execution at the hands of Atrocitus who wishes to make Sinestro suffer greatly by taking his revenge on everything he has ever cared about.

Sinestro then says that he's proud of his daughter for succeeding where he could not, namely bringing order to Korugar as a member of the Green Lantern Corps.

Carol then encases Sinestro in a crystal structure, forcing him to relive the death of his love, Arin Sur ( Abin Sur's sister ).

Sinestro defeats Mongul by overriding his rings, then imprisons him within the Yellow Central Battery.

Sinestro vows to keep Mongul alive ( and torture him ), then kill him when the Blackest Night is over.

Abin Sur then contact the Guardians of the Universe to expel Sinestro.

Once Hal Jordan recharged his Power Ring, he helped Batman fight Sinestro where Sinestro was disarmed of his ring by Batman ( who ironically opened his hand with Sinestro's power ring in it ) who then knocked out Sinestro.

Green Lantern then took Sinestro back to his cell.

Sinestro then created a puppet government loyal only to him.

The young girl looks at the boy and accuses him of giving her " yawn ," and then they ask Sinestro if he could cure their condition.

Sinestro arrives and blasts Scott, then prepares to kill Jordan.

* In Justice League, Morgan Edge was portrayed as living on an island with his own personal army and then is frozen by Killer Frost as the Secret Society ( Gorilla Grodd, Parasite, Sinestro, Giganta, The Shade and Frost ) freed Clayface, who was being held by Edge.

Parallax then clothes itself in a new uniform which appears as a combination of the Sinestro Corps ' uniform, Kyle's original Green Lantern costume, and the armor Hal Jordan wore as Parallax.

The Embodiment of Fear then led an advance group of the Sinestro Corps, readying to attack Coast City.

The ring then flies onto Abin's other hand, and he manages to defeat and imprison Sinestro.

Parallax then clothes itself in a new uniform ( which appears as a combination of Kyle's original Green Lantern costume and the costume Hal Jordan wore as Parallax ) and returns to Qward with the Sinestro Corps.

The earth-based Lanterns then return home, only to find that New Earth, as the center of the Multiverse, is the Sinestro Corps ' next target.

However, the Green Lanterns are ambushed by the Sinestro Corps and then the Red Lantern Corps under Atrocitus.

This was planned by Sinestro while he was imprisoned in the Battery.

Particularly dangerous beings, such as Sinestro or Parallax, are sometimes imprisoned within the central battery.

Hal and Sinestro are imprisoned with Korugarians when Hal suggests using the ring's abilities to make duplicate rings for everyone so the prisoners can escape as well, but they attack their former leader instead before turning on the Corps while Hal and Sinestro escape.

After Abin is sent to Earth by the Guardians, Sinestro approaches the imprisoned Red Lantern Atrocitus on Ysmault, seeking information about the prophecy related with the " Flashpoint ".

Eleven years later, Lady Quark returns alive and well without explanation in Villains United # 5 ( 2005 ), in which she is captured by Sinestro at the request of Alexander Luthor, Jr .. She is imprisoned in Luthor's tower as part of his plan to bring the core Earths of the Multiverse back into existence.

During Krona's takeover of the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro and other ring-wielders are briefly trapped in the Book of the Black and experience visions of their pre-ring pasts, with Sinestro encountering a pre-Tribe Indigo-1 locked in a prison and trying to find out where Abin Sur has imprisoned her, but Sinestro departs to focus on his own escape rather than try to rescue her, leaving her history a continued mystery.

When the renegade Sinestro was later imprisoned in the Power Battery himself, his Qwardian yellow power ring tapped into Parallax's power and awakened it.

Sinestro is imprisoned in the antimatter universe, on the planet Qward.

Issue # 50 sees Hal battle the renegade former Green Lantern Sinestro on Oa, who had been previously imprisoned in the Main Battery, but released by the Guardians to stop Jordan.
