Since 1971, Eureka has been known as the home of the amusement park formerly known as Six Flags Over Mid-America and now called Six Flags St. Louis.

Eureka is the home to the last amusement park to be built under the " Six Flags Over " name.

Kemp briefly served on the board of Oracle Corporation, CEO is friend Larry Ellison, in 1996, but resigned when he ran for Vice President ; he was named to the board of Six Flags, Inc. in December 2005.

In 1997, Time Warner sold the Six Flags unit.

Six Flags Over Georgia, a large tourist attraction, is located in Unincorporated Cobb County but is located just outside Austell and has an Austell mailing address.

Wann is famous for the ' Six Flag Poles Over Wann America '.

For the first season, some of the live-action segments ( specifically those used during the musical segments ) were shot at Six Flags Over Texas, an amusement park located in Arlington, Texas.

The company was founded in Texas and took its name from its first property, Six Flags Over Texas.

Construction of " Six Flags Over Texas " started in 1960, and the park was opened in 1961 for a short ( 45 day ) season.

Six Flags opened Six Flags Over Georgia in 1967 and Six Flags Over Mid-America in 1971, which would, along with Six Flags Over Texas, be the only three parks that would be constructed by the company.

MARTA operates almost exclusively in Fulton and DeKalb counties, with bus service to two destinations in Cobb county ( Six Flags Over Georgia and the Cumberland Transfer Center next to the Cumberland Mall ) and a single rail station in Clayton County at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

MARTA shuttle service is available to Six Flags Over Georgia during the park's summer season.

Due to low Sales Tax Revenue and no source of funding from the State of Georgia, MARTA was forced to eliminate 43 Bus Routes, eliminate shuttles, ( Excluding the Six Flags Over Georgia and Braves Shuttle ) and reduce Rail Service frequencies and hours.

Unlike its sister parks, Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Over Georgia, which are owned by limited partnerships and managed by Six Flags, St. Louis is the only original park completely owned by Six Flags itself.
