St Thomas interprets ' You should love your neighbour as yourself ' from Leviticus 19 and Matthew 22 as meaning that love for ourselves is the exemplar of love for others.

By the time Christopher Columbus passed near St. Vincent on his fourth voyage in 1502, the Caribs occupied the island after displacing the Arawaks a few centuries earlier.

Christopher Codrington, the British governor of the Leeward Islands, immediately organized a campaign to push the French off St. Kitts on learning in July 1702 of the war declarations.

Minuit died on this voyage during a hurricane at St. Christopher in the Caribbean.

However, the church of St Mary-le-Bow was destroyed in 1666 by the Great Fire of London and rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren.

During a trip from Dublin, Ní Mháille attempted to pay a courtesy visit to Howth Castle, home of Christopher St Lawrence, 8th Baron Howth ( d. 1589 ) However, she was informed that the family was at dinner and the castle gates were closed against her.

Hooke's collaboration with Christopher Wren also included St Paul's Cathedral, whose dome uses a method of construction conceived by Hooke.

Its government was united with St. Christopher from 1882 until 1967, when it declared its separation.

It was this Christopher that supervised the topping out ceremony of St Paul's in 1710 and wrote the famous Parentalia, or, Memoirs of the family of the Wrens.

It had been bought by Wren many years before as part of a legacy for his son Christopher Wren, Jr. For convenience Wren also leased a house on St James's Street in London.

The white building on the left is sometimes identified as Christopher Wren's house during the building of St Paul's Cathedral.

His famous series of sixteen great designs for the Apocalypse is dated 1498, as is his engraving of St. Michael Fighting the Dragon.

The delaying of the engraving of St Philip, completed in 1523 but not distributed until 1526, may have been due to Dürer's uneasiness with images of Saints ; even if Dürer was not an iconoclast, in his last years he evaluated and questioned the role of art in religion.

Sculpture in wood was very likely more common, but almost the only significant large survival is St Cuthbert's coffin in Durham Cathedral, probably made in 698, with numerous linear images carved or incised in a technique that is a sort of large-scale engraving.
