In light of the popular and engineering support for suspension structures, Steinman ’ s first edition of A Practical Treatise on Suspension Bridges fed a growing demand for technical information about components such as eye-bars and stiffening systems.

In October 2000, a tentative fall 2001 opening was announced, along with the rather surprising declaration that Steinman himself would serve as the show's director, a somewhat off-putting notion due to the fact that Steinman had never directed any shows, much less one of this size and scale, in his career.

The book and lyrics were written by Ray Errol Fox, the music by Steinman.

The program, as delivered by HealthMed, is heavily promoted in the book Diet for a Poisoned Planet by journalist David Steinman, who denies any connection with the Church of Scientology.

The book was the subject of a paper from the U. S. Food and Drug Administration which accused Steinman of distorting facts.

Music was composed by Jim Steinman and orchestrated by Steve Margoshes, and original German book and lyrics were written by Michael Kunze.

Steinman was born in New York, New York.

Steinman himself played Baal in the original production, which was staged in April 1969.

Steinman said in an interview that Joseph Papp, founder of the New York Shakespeare Festival, saw the play and was so impressed he signed it up during intermission.

He wanted to bring it to New York ( either Broadway or Central Park ), but balked when his Amherst faculty advisor explained to Papp that, contrary to Papp's published claim, Steinman was never threatened with " near-expulsion " from the college.

Steinman was credited as co-producer with Jimmy Iovine for the song " Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through ".

In 1984, Steinman was hired by and worked briefly with the rock band Def Leppard on some tracks that were intended for a Def Leppard album.

However, Steinman was fired, and the recording work he made with the band was not released.

This album was the first time Steinman worked with Steven Rinkoff, who was a recording engineer on this album.

The track " This Corrosion " was produced by Steinman, and the track " Dominion / Mother Russia " was co-produced by Steinman, along with Larry Alexander and Andrew Eldritch.

The bridge was designed by David B. Steinman ( in realization of his Ph. D. thesis in civil engineering at Columbia University in 1911 ) and was the longest plate girder arch and fixed arch bridge in the world when it opened in 1936.

In May 1934, renowned bridge engineer David Steinman, P. E., called together four engineering organizations to discuss the formation of a new national engineering society.

Manager Allen Kovac warned that any song over five minutes would not be played on radio, saying that if Steinman and the group did not make the cuts then the stations would.

Steinman and Meat Loaf first met during the production and would go on to make the multi-platinum album, Bat out of Hell.

They then followed Steinman after he moved to Los Angeles, living in the Magic Hotel, where all of Meat Loaf's band were staying, until they could find somewhere permanent to live.

Eldritch has later considered producer Steinman to have been more pivotal in securing funding for additional production than the songs themselves.

Many of the various productions of Tanz der Vampire have had cast recordings released, some of them produced by Steinman, along with other co-producers.

Demo recordings of Hannah singing four songs by Steinman were leaked to fans and have since been available on numerous fan sites.

A creative team was also finally being assembled, including set designer David Gallo, who Steinman liked because Gallo told him upon meeting for the first time that he was probably the only set designer in America who still subscribed to Heavy Metal Magazine, and that he bought Bat Out of Hell because he saw the album cover artwork ( conceived by Steinman and executed by Richard Corben ) and decided he had to have it before he even heard the music.

Many of the tracks, or elements thereof, on Bad for Good have been recorded by other artists, including projects that Steinman has been involved in.

Three official remixes have been made for their version as well as a remix done by Jim Steinman, which was ultimately rejected by the record label but has surfaced on the Internet.

A different version of the song " Nowhere Fast " ( originally intended to have been used by Fire Inc., but dropped in favor of a better version also by Steinman ) was also released on Meat Loaf's album Bad Attitude ( 1984 ).
