In software design, interface bloat ( also called fat interfaces by Bjarne Stroustrup and Refused Bequests by Martin Fowler ) is a term used to describe interfaces that try to incorporate all possible operations on some data into an interface, only to find that most of the objects cannot perform the given operations.

In past years, there has also been a pie eating contest, which has featured many famous guests including the San Diego Chicken, Bjarne Stroustrup, and professional competitive eater Joey Chestnut.

Bjarne Stroustrup, the designer of C ++, likes to emphasize that macros should be avoided wherever possible, and advocates extensive use of inline functions.

In particular, Bjarne Stroustrup says, " To the best of my knowledge EC ++ is dead ( 2004 ), and if it isn't it ought to be.

Cfront was the original compiler for C ++ ( then known as " C with Classes ") from around 1983, which converted C ++ to C ; developed by Bjarne Stroustrup.

Some notable figures include: Per Brinch Hansen, known for concurrent programming theory ; Bjarne Stroustrup, who invented the C ++ programming language ; Janus Friis, the co-inventor of Skype ; Jens and Lars Rasmussen, the co-founders of Google Maps ; and Peter Naur, a contributer to ALGOL 60 and a receipant of the Turing Award

He had earlier been working for Bell Labs close to Andrew Koenig and tried to convince Bjarne Stroustrup to introduce something like Ada Generics in C ++.

The creator of C ++, Bjarne Stroustrup, has acknowledged that Simula 67 was the greatest influence on him to develop C ++, to bring the kind of productivity enhancements offered by Simula to the raw computational speed offered by lower level languages like BCPL.

Stroustrup has a master's degree in mathematics and computer science ( 1975 ) from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, and a Ph. D. in computer science ( 1979 ) from the University of Cambridge, England, where he was a student at Churchill College.

Stroustrup was elected member of the National Academy of Engineering in 2004.

For this reason, Bjarne Stroustrup, the designer of C ++, elected to make dynamic dispatch optional and non-default.

He also wrote ' Ends and Means ' about his views on the technique.

Sir Stafford Cripps, George Bernard Shaw, Henry Irving and other stage grandees, Lord Lytton and other eminent people of the era also wrote positive appreciations of his work after taking lessons with Alexander.
