Strumble Head Lighthouse stands on Ynys Meicel ( meaning St. Michael's Island ), a rocky island at the northwest corner of Pencaer, five miles west of the town of Fishguard, in northern Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Cardigan Bay () is a large inlet of the Irish Sea, indenting the west coast of Wales between Bardsey Island, Gwynedd in the north, and Strumble Head, Pembrokeshire at its southern end.
It gives its name to Strumble Head Lighthouse ( on the island of Ynys Meicel ) and Strumble VOR, a way point in many trans-atlantic flights.
