Clinton ran for President of the Student Council while attending the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

The Council is made up of the chair of CND, the treasurer, three vice-chairs, 15 directly elected members, a representative of each of the specialist sections, one from Student CND, three from Youth CND and 27 from the regional groups.

GSC is the Graduate Student Council, open to graduate-level students of all disciplines.

Its elected leadership consists of the Undergraduate Senate elected by the undergraduate students, the Graduate Student Council elected by the graduate students, and the President and Vice President elected as a ticket by the entire student body.

Student government officers administer the Code, and all academic matters are heard by student juries.

Despite this the five College Student Committees, volunteer groups made up of elected officers and supporting volunteers, have retained a reasonably strong presence on campus.

For corporate purposes, including major financial decision-making and dealings with full-time staff members, the political organs of the union can reconvene in a corporate rather than political format — the Student Representative Assembly serves as the voting members of the corporation, with the four sabbatical officers assuming the role of a corporate Board of Directors.

Student government rests in the Campus Union, with executive officers and an assembly elected by the student body.

While the President and Vice President spend most of their time managing the rest of the team and representing the Student Union at NUS UK events which take place throughout the academic year, the other officers have their own specific areas to run.

SGA consists of an Executive Council of officers and committee chairs, a Student Senate that handles academic issues, and a House of Representatives that oversees all clubs and organizations on campus.

The Student Government Association at UTB hosts the officers of the student body.

House officers form a house council including a president, a Council of Student Activities member ( also known as ASC ), a Student Academic Council member ( also known as SAC ), a senator who represents the house in student government, an intramural sports representative, a chaplain, and finally Crescents ( exclusive to women's houses and whose duties include decorating and doing arts and crafts ).

In the spring the executive officers of the Student Council review the progress of each group and vote whether to recharter the organization for the following year.

* Association of College and University Housing Officers-International ( ACUHO-I ): International association of housing officers which publishes a peer-reviewed journal ( The Journal of College and University Student Housing ) twice a year, publishes a magazine ( Talking Stick ) approximately every two months, and hosts multiple conferences each year in the United States and abroad.

NSA was led by officers elected at its annual National Student Congress.

The Student Government Association at TAMU-CC hosts the officers of the student body.

One affinity group called IEEE Women in Engineering is running under this Student Branch. The team of student branch officers is consisting of Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.

Over recent years ( especially the last 10 years ) there has been frequent changes in the roles and titles of a number of the Sabbatical officers, and an increase in their number from 5 to 8, until the recent reduction down to 6, which is still a high number in comparison to other Student Unions.

The Union is run by a variety of working, representative and standing committees, presided over by the Student Union Council ( SUC ) and eight elected full-time sabbatical officers.
