Many of the country's political leaders of the 19th and 20th century, including Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, were influenced by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

Swami and future
He had a walk with Swami Premananda, a brother-disciple, and gave him instructions on the future of the Ramakrishna Math.
Seeing the fire and passion in her, Swami Vivekananda could foresee her future role in India.

However, in 1922, Sir John George Woodroffe published a commentary on the Karpuradistotram by the Kaula commentator Swami Vimalananda.
