After several years of chart successes for artists including Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Outlawz and Tha Dogg Pound, Death Row Records stagnated after Knight's incarceration on parole violation charges in September 1996.

With the success of Hammer's 1994 album, The Funky Headhunter ( featuring Tha Dogg Pound ), Hammer signed with Death Row Records by 1995, along with Snoop Dogg and his close friend, Tupac.

After the death of Tupac Shakur and the release of Tha Doggfather, Snoop Dogg openly blasted Suge Knight for the murder of Shakur and decided to leave the label, which he did in 1997, moving to Master P's No Limit Records and then forming his own record label, Doggystyle Records.

Although music for his own album has yet to materialize, D ' Angelo was featured on the song " Imagine " by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, from his album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment, which was released on November 21, 2006.

He signed new talent, including Female Rapper SKG, Crooked I, Lisa " Left Eye " Lopes, Top Dogg and Tha Realest, picking up affiliates Spider Loc and Eastwood.

He is currently unsigned having been most recently signed to Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle Records, along with many fellow ex-Death Row Records artists such as Tha Dogg Pound, Bad Azz, Lady Of Rage, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Tray Dee, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger and Soopafly.

After Tha Dogg Pound's full departure from Death Row, Suge Knight claimed ownership of the name " Tha Dogg Pound " and any tracks recorded prior to them leaving.

Krayzie Bone also featured on Daz Dillinger's 2008 solo album Only on the Left Side on the song " Meal Ticket " and later on the song " Money Fold ' N " on Tha Dogg Pound's 2009 album That Was Then, This Is Now.

They have since squashed the beef and released a song called " Blaze It Up ", as a bonus track on Tha Dogg Pound's Dogg Chit album.

He recently produced the majority of Blaq Poet's Tha Blaqprint in 2009 and will produce the entirety of NYGz debut album.

In 1996, Tha Dogg Pound were featured on 2Pac's legendary, and widely acclaimed Death Row Records debut album All Eyez on Me with Kurupt featured in " Got My Mind Made Up " and " Check Out Time " and Daz Dillinger producing the hit songs " 2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted ", " Ambitionz Az A Ridah ", and " I Ain't Mad At Cha " among other tracks which solidified his status as a talented and successful producer.

Tha Dogg Pound released the album Dogg Chit independently on March 27, 2007, touting it as a sequel to their debut.

J Wess Presents Tha LP is the debut album of American-Australian urban musician J-Wess, released in April 2004.
