The A41 resumes at Constitution Hill near Snow Hill train station, passing through Hockley where it meets the northern section of the A4540.

At junction 5 of the M42, the A41 follows its old course.

The A41 follows the old route from the next roundabout and enters the borough of Walsall.

Situated north-west of London and linked to London by the old Roman road of Akeman Street, by the modern A41, by the Grand Union Canal and by rail lines to Euston Station, Tring is now largely a commuter town in the London commuter belt.

Additionally, route 113 between Edgware and Marble Arch runs along the nearby A1 / A41.

The former route of the A41 through inner Birmingham is now the B4100 heading past the Digbeth National Express coach station, and passes near St Chad's RC Cathedral.

The original ( 1923 ) route of the A41 was Stanmore to Oakengates, meeting the A5 at both ends.

The stagecoach route dating from 1762 that followed the general course of the modern A41 as far as Aylesbury.

The main route from the M1 to the A1 in London, was however, via the A41 Watford bypass to Berrygrove.

The original route of the London to Holyhead road ran through Tettenhall, though on a different course from the current A41 Tettenhall Road.

Today the route follows the A41 which becomes Finchley Road at St. John's Wood tube station.

Soon afterwards, the route of the canal has been cut by the building of the A41 Newport bypass.

The A1 and A41 converge as they enter Mill Hill at Fiveways Corner, this section is known as the Watford Way.

The A41 splits of from the Finchley Road just before it crosses the borough boundary, briefly merges with the A1 through Mill Hill, leaving the borough at Edgware.

The A41 overlaps the A1 at Five Ways Corner with the section known as Watford Way.

At a roundabout, with the A411 to Watford to the south, and the M25 spur straight ahead to join the M25 westbound at Junction 19, the A41 continues north through Langleybury, crossing the River Gade and the Grand Union Canal, to meet the M25 at Junction 20.

At Port Sunlight the A41 diverts onto a dual-carriageway section bypassing New Ferry and Rock Ferry before rejoining New Chester Road at Tranmere Oil Terminal.

The A41 was subsequently extended at both ends.

It then continues south via Stone, Stafford, Cannock and Walsall, passes through the middle of Birmingham ( where it briefly merges with the A41 ), before meeting the M42 motorway at junction 4 south of Solihull.

It then passes Brent Cross Shopping Centre and beneath the Brent Cross Interchange ( A41 ), and after approximately at Henlys Corner briefly shares carriageways with the A1 which joins it from the left and leaves it to the right to head into Central London.

To the south of the parish is the farm at Putlowes and Putlowes Cottages just to the south west of the A41.

At the end of the bypass, the road overlaps as a dual-carriageway for a few miles with the A41, then leaves the A41 at a roundabout near Prees Heath, near the former RAF Tilstock airfield.

It runs from the A41 at a junction west of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire, through the town to junction 8 of the M1 motorway at Buncefield, and running parallel to the M1 until junction 7, heading south of St Albans, east through Hatfield, Hertford, then across the A10 and into Essex through Harlow, Chipping Ongar and Chelmsford before terminating at Maldon.

The Ordnance Survey 1: 50, 000 scale mapping shows a sea of dark green here as the A406 North Circular Road and the A41 Hendon Way meet at the Brent Cross Flyover.

The village is at the junction of the B4100 ( former A41 ) and B4451 roads, a mile from Junction 12 of the M40 motorway, and is two miles north-east of Kineton.

Sandwell Valley country park stretches from the A41 at West Bromwich to the edge of Walsall, with car parks in Forge Lane and Sandwell Park Farm.

The approach roads from the South run through man-made cuts in the sandstone to broach the steep ridge, the A41 at a stretch known as The Rock and further West at the minor roads, The Holloway and Wightwick Bank.

It is situated on the ancient Roman Akeman Street between Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead, on the former A41 London-Liverpool Trunk Route, on the Grand Union Canal that runs between London and Birmingham and at the confluence of the Chiltern chalk stream, the Bourne Gutter and the River Bulbourne.

Beyond Sutton Cross in Sutton Maddock the turnpike continued through Shifnal to Woodcote, where it joined another turnpike ( now A41 road ).

After passing under the junction with the A405, the A41 turns towards the west.

The A41 has a staggered junction with the B4102 ( for Solihull and Catherine-de-Barnes ) near the BUPA Parkway Hospital.

In August 2010, work started on junction 9, upgrading the M40 southbound exit sliproad to three lanes, as well as similar widening on the connecting A34 and A41 junctions.

At junction 5, traffic for Wales can take the A41, A550 & A494 to join the A55 near Ewloe.

Close by is the Brent Cross Shopping Centre, named after the A406 and A41 road junction.

Childs Hill, now the southernmost ward of the London Borough of Barnet, although of historic origin, is a late-19th-century suburban development situated 5 miles ( 8 km ) northwest of Charing Cross bordered by the A41 ( Hendon Way ) and Dunstan Road, and centred on the junction of Cricklewood Lane and Finchley Road.

It is near junction 3 of the M54 motorway ( A41 ) near Albrighton.
