In addition large art galleries are found across the city, including the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery, the Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery, The City Arts Centre, The Douglas Hyde Gallery, The Project Arts Centre and The Royal Hibernian Academy.

Temple Bar was the home of many artists in the 1980s, and spaces such as the Project Arts Centre were hubs for collectives and new exhibitions.

In September 2010, SFU Contemporary Arts moved into the Woodward ’ s redevelopment, known as the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.

The Vancouver campus has four buildings spread across the downtown core: SFU Harbour Centre, the Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue, the Segal Graduate School of Business and SFU Contemporary Arts at Woodward's.

Other famous structures include the Gothic Church of St Maclou ( 15th century ); the Tour Jeanne d ' Arc, where Joan of Arc was brought in 1431 to be threatened with torture ( contrary to popular belief, she was not imprisoned there ); the Church of Saint Ouen ( 12th – 15th century ); the Palais de Justice, which was once the seat of the Parlement ( French court of law ) of Normandy and the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics which contains a splendid collection of faïence and porcelain for which Rouen was renowned during the 16th to 18th centuries.

The area is also home of the Wynton M. Blount Cultural Park, a park which contains the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.

The Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts contains a large collection of Mongolian art, including works of the 17th century sculptor / artist Zanabazar, as well as Mongolia's most famous painting, One Day In Mongolia by B. Sharav.

Murfreesboro contains a Center for the Arts close to the Square, which entertains with a variety of exhibits, theatre arts, concerts, dances, and magic shows.

The William Carlos Williams Center for the Performing Arts opened in 1981 and contains three movie screens as well as two performance halls.

Downtown Spokane contains many of the cities public facilities, including City Hall, Riverfront Park ( site of Expo ' 74 ), the Spokane Convention and INB Performing Arts Center, the Spokane Arena as well as the Spokane County Courthouse across the river in the West Central neighborhood.

The Island, Minocqua's civic center, contains the Campanile Center for the Arts, the Minocqua Police Department, Minocqua Fire Department, and the Minocqua Community Center, which houses the town offices and public library.

The Instituto de Artes Gráficos de Oaxaca ( Graphic Arts Institute of Oaxaca ) contains a large collection of graphic designs both present and past.

It contains, or is adjacent to, the Barbican Arts Centre, the Museum of London, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Barbican public library, the City of London School for Girls and a YMCA, forming the Barbican Complex.

The Cummings Arts Center contains two concert halls, the Center for Electronic and Digital Sound, pianos, practice rooms, a pipe organ.

Warragul contains the Linear Park Arts Discovery Trail, a trail covering several adjacent parks in the town.

It contains thirteen of Harvard College's seventeen freshman dormitories, as well as four libraries, five buildings of classrooms and academic departments, and the central administrative offices of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the university, located in University Hall and Massachusetts Hall, respectively.

It also contains one francophone elementary school, which is part of the province-wide CSF ( conseil scolaire francophone ), School District 93, as well there is the Langley Fine Arts School in Fort Langley.

Sedgwick Hall contains many of the classes and departments in the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as the Mabee Theatre, where the University's Players put on four productions each year.

The union building, on the banks of the Afon Dulas and extended in 1998, contains a student bar and small club, known as the Xtension, which hosted parties and live music events ; the Union also had a CineClub showing films in the Arts Hall and Cliff Tucker Theatre.

Saint Helier contains cultural facilities at the Jersey Museum, the Maritime Museum, the Jersey Opera House, the Jersey Arts Centre, the performance venue of St James, the sports and entertainment facilities at Fort Regent, the Jersey Library and the library of La Société Jersiaise.

The East Building also contains the main offices of the NGA and a large research facility, Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts ( CASVA ).

Two of the town's main attractions are the Sale Water Park, which contains an artificial lake used for water-sports, and the Waterside Arts Centre.
