Although the track was edited out of the final cut, it would later be re-recorded and released as " Safe " on the B-side of Bowie's 2002 single " Everyone Says ' Hi '".

Also in 2008 the band remixed the Attery Squash song ' Devo Was Right About Everything ' which was released on the B-side to the Watch Us Work It vinyl 12 " single.

The " Carnage " mix was, by comparison, altogether more conventional, featuring enhanced string treatments, a percussive midpoint flurry of vocal samples ( from Allen and the group's B-side interview ), but broadly following the prevailing instrumental-vocal 12-inch structural paradigm.

The principal B-side to the original 12-inch single was a cover version of " War ", which became the subject of an accomplished extended remix in its own right ( subtitled " Hidden ") on the single's third UK 12-inch release, where it was promoted as a double-A-side with " Carnage ".

Interestingly, " I Will Survive " was originally the B-side when Polydor Records released it in late 1978.

Many rock drummers have cited Moon as an influence, including Neil Peart and Dave Grohl The Jam paid tribute to Moon on the second single from their third album, " Down in the Tube Station at Midnight ", in which the B-side of the single is a cover song from The Who: " So Sad About Us ", and the back cover of the record is a photo of Moon's face ; the Jam's record was released about a month after Moon's death.

Bryan MacLean's " Alone Again Or " was the sole single released from the album to reach the Billboard singles chart ( its B-side was Lee's " A House Is Not A Motel.

The download version of Decades Apart included an unreleased recording from 1978, " Wasting Time ", inspired by the band's ' Rock Goes To College ' experience earlier that year ; this track, originally titled " Social Secs " was never released, and the music ended up being reversed and released as " Yellowcake UF6 ", the B-side to " Nuclear Device " in 1979.

Skylarking spawned the controversial track " Dear God ", which was originally issued as the B-side of the album's first single, " Grass ".

Instead, it was released as a B-side of the " Go Your Own Way " single, and would remain in some obscurity until it appeared on the four-disc Fleetwood Mac retrospective 25 Years – The Chain in 1992.

The first single from the album was " Crash Into Me " and was released as a digital download, along with " Landslide " ( orchestra version ) as a B-side, on March 17, 2009.

Alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins made an acoustic cover of the song that was featured on their 1994 B-side collection Pisces Iscariot.

Fantasy Records released " Samba de Orpheus " as a single, trying to catch the building bossa nova wave, but it was destined to sink without a trace when radio DJs began flipping it over and playing the B-side, Guaraldi's " Cast Your Fate to the Wind ".

The B-side, Nachtzuster ( Nightnurse, written by Henny ) was included in the TV-special and became a classic too.

The B-side was Grote Broer, which translates as Big Brother.

As Gabler intended, " Rock Around the Clock " was first issued in the spring of 1954 as a B-side to " Thirteen Women ( and Only One Man in Town ).

Former Easterhouse guitarist Ivor Perry was brought in to replace Marr, and the band recorded some new material with him which was never completed, including an early version of " Bengali in Platforms " that was originally intended as the B-side of " Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before ".

In addition, during this time, the band's song " Tomorrow " ( originally an instrumental on the B-side of " Get The Funk Out Ma Face ") was recorded with vocals sung by Tevin Campbell for Quincy Jones ' Back on the Block release in 1989.

In 1976 Devo released their first single Mongoloid b / w Jocko Homo, the B-side of which came from the soundtrack to The Truth About De-Evolution, on their independent label " Booji Boy ", followed in 1977 by the re-working of the Rolling Stones ' "( I Can't Get No ) Satisfaction ".

This technique had already been used on the B-side of " Relax ", the similarly titled " One September Monday ".

Singer Neil Hannon also provided Ted's vocal in the " enhanced " version of My Lovely Horse, which later appeared as a B-side on the band's single Gin Soaked Boy.

" I couldn't believe they were burying this monster hit on the B-side ", says King.

The single's B-side, " 1963 "— originally planned on being the A-side until the group's label convinced them to release " True Faith " instead — would later be released as a single in its own right several years later, with two new versions.

The Beatles introduced audiences to many of the major elements of the psychedelic sound during this period, with guitar feedback in " I Feel Fine " ( 1964 ), " Norwegian Wood " from their 1965 Rubber Soul album using a sitar, and the employment of reversed audio tapes on their 1966 B-side " Rain ".

Lovering sang lead vocals on Doolittles " La La Love You " and the B-side " Make Believe ".

The Righteous Brothers had several other Spector-produced hit singles in 1965, including " Just Once in My Life ", " Unchained Melody " ( originally the B-side of " Hung on You "), and " Ebb Tide ".

Orbison sold " Claudette ", a song he wrote about Frady, whom he married in 1957, to The Everly Brothers and it appeared on the B-side of their smash hit " All I Have To Do Is Dream ".

In his first session for Monument in Nashville, Orbison took on a song that RCA had refused, " Paper Boy ", backed by " With The Bug " as the B-side, but neither charted.

Dootone Records released The Penguins ' single " Hey Senorita " in late 1954 as the intended A-side, but a radio DJ flipped the record over to the B-side: " Earth Angel " worked its way up to # 1 on the Billboard charts ( the only Penguins song ever to fly that high ), and held that place for three weeks early in 1955.

Originally intended as a B-side, " Fools Gold " quickly became the Roses ' most famous song and a performance of it on Top of the Pops cemented their national fame.

Nonetheless, rumors of a 1953 demo recording by Haley persist to this day, although surviving members of the Comets deny this, as did Haley himself ( quoted in the Swenson biography ) ; a late-1960s bootleg single of the Decca Records version of " Rock Around the Clock ", with " Crazy Man, Crazy " on the B-side and carrying the Essex label, occasionally turns up for sale with the claim that it is the demo version.

More controversy followed when " Suffer Little Children ", the B-side to " Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now ", touched on the theme of the Moors murders.

In 1959, Bo Diddley released " Say Man " on Checker 931 ( with " The Clock Strikes Twelve " as the B-side ), which featured him trading insults with his percussionist Jerome Green.

Yet during these sessions they were still capable of recording the single " I Feel Fine " and its B-side, " She's a Woman " ( both written by Lennon – McCartney, and not included on the album ).

The Redcaps lineup released two singles: " Conquest " b / w " Lover " ( with DeWolfe on vocals on the B-side, and an instrumental reminiscent of The Ventures, featuring Dio on trumpet, on the A-side ) on the Reb label, and on Seneca ( S 178-102, USA ), " An Angel Is Missing " with " What'd I Say " on the B-side ( both songs featuring Padavona on vocals ).

Between 1959 and 1961 they had several more both on the R & B and Pop charts, starting with " Teardrops on Your Letter ", a number 4 R & B hit in 1959 that had as its B-side the Ballard-written song " The Twist ".

" The song " One Bad Thing " and its B-side " The Day Your Eyes Meet Mine " ( both songs were originally written and recorded for the Cucumber Castle sessions in 1969 ) which he considered as the second single off the album were proposed to be released as a single around October 1970.

As well as the songs he would go on to perform on the day, his list included “ All Things Must Pass ” (“ with Leon ”, apparently ) and “ Art of Dying ” − both from All Things Must Pass − and “ Bangla Desh ”’ s B-side, “ Deep Blue ”; Clapton ’ s song “ Let It Rain ” appeared also, implying that the guitarist was expected to have his own solo spot ; while the suggestions for Dylan ’ s set were “ If Not for You ”, “ Watching the River Flow ” ( his recent, Leon Russell-produced single ) and “ Blowin ' in the Wind ”.

In 1962, both the A-and B-side of the record were re-released on the Fono-Graf label that included a picture sleeve of Landon's then-current work on Bonanza as Little Joe Cartwright.

The medley, ranging in length from five to thirteen minutes depending on the format, was issued both as an A-and B-side 7 " and 12 " single in certain territories to promote their albums Boonoonoonoos and Christmas Album.

A longer version of the second single " Skye " appeared on the Alba Records compilation A Feast Of Scottish Folk Music, Volume One along with an early version of " Lifeline ", both of which were previously unreleased on albums, and " Na H-Uain A's T-Earrach " which was the B-side to " Dance Called America ".

In Japan, the album was called Into the Skyline + 1, and featured three extra tracks: " Nothing Moves Me ", a previous B-side, and two tracks that were both released as singles, i. e. " It's My Style ", and " Love's a Cradle ".

A live version of the song " Bodhisattva " was used as the B-side for both " Hey Nineteen " and " Babylon Sisters ", released as singles in the 1980s.

MacRae also appeared on The Wonder Stuff's album Never Loved Elvis, and all of the members of both bands recorded a cover of the country standard " Will the Circle Be Unbroken " as a B-side for the Wonder Stuff's " Welcome to the Cheap Seats " single.

In 1978, a " triple B-side " titled The Musical World of Little Nell ( Aquatic Teenage Sex & Squalor ) was released which featured both " Do the Swim " and " Stillettos and Lipstick " along with the track " Dance that Cocktail Latin Way " ( also known as " Tropical Isle ") which originally appeared as the B-side of her second single from 1976.

The song's B-side, the Marvin Gaye composition, " If This World Were Mine ", became a modest hit on both charts, reaching number sixty-eight on the pop chart and number twenty-seven on the R & B chart.

The 12 " versions of both " Temptation " and its B-side, " Hurt ", appear on New Order's mopping up EP 1981 – 1982, released a few months after the single itself.

The tracks " Hafssól " and " Von " were later re-recorded with very different arrangements, the former released as a B-side to the Hoppípolla single and both appearing on 2007's Hvarf / Heim

Also included were " Thank You Girl " ( the B-side to the British single " From Me to You "), the single " She Loves You " / " I'll Get You ", " You Can't Do That " from the A Hard Day's Night soundtrack in the UK, and two new songs, " Long Tall Sally " and " I Call Your Name ," both released a month later in the UK on the Long Tall Sally EP.

The single was released by WEA, and had " The Loan Arranger " on the B-side, both taken from their album California Girls.

" Sister Midnight " and " China Girl " were released as singles in February and May 1977, respectively — both with the same B-side, " Baby ".

The title track appeared as the B-side of both the U. S. single release of " Space Oddity " in 1972 and the U. K. release of " Life on Mars?

The B-side of both the 7 " and 12 " pressings was Sid Vicious ' infamous rendering of Claude François, Jacques Revaux and Paul Anka's " My Way ".

Written by John Lennon, " Rain " has been called The Beatles ' finest B-side, noted for its slowed-down rhythm track and backwards vocals, both of which were a hint of things to come on Revolver, released two months later.

Brian Poole & The Tremeloes also had success in the UK in 1964 with covers of Roy Orbison's B-side, " Candy Man " and a previously obscure Crickets ' B-side ballad, " Someone Someone "; both entered the UK Singles Chart Top Ten, with the latter peaking at No. 2.
