In the 18th century Shkodër became the center of the ( pashaluk ) of Shkodër, under the rule of the Bushati family, which ruled from 1757 to 1831.

The most prominent Albanians during Ottoman rule were: Davud Pasha, Hamza Kastrioti, Iljaz Hoxha, Nezim Frakulla, Köprülü Mehmed Pasha, Ali Pasha, Edhem Pasha, Omer Vrioni, Haxhi Shehreti, Ali Pasha of Gucia, Ibrahim Pasha of Berat, Köprülü Fazıl Ahmed, Muhammad Ali of Egypt, Kara Mahmud Bushati, Kara Murad Pasha, Ahmet Kurt Pasha, Mustafa Bushati, Ibrahim Bushati, Sedefkar Mehmed Agha.

Kara Mahmud Bushati, Albanian noble from the Bushati family, based in Shkodër, attacks Montenegrin territory ; subsequently named governor of Shkodër by Ottoman authorities.

Kara Mahmud's brother, Ibrahim Bushati, cooperated with the Sublime Porte until his death in 1810, but his successor, Mustafa Pasha Bushati, proved to be recalcitrant despite participation in Ottoman military campaigns against Greek revolutionaries and rebel pashas.

The diverse Ottoman force included vast numbers of soldiers from many nearby Pashaliks including servicemen such as Samson Cerfberr of Medelsheim, Osman Gradaščević and Reshiti Bushati.

In the late 18th century, two Albanian centers of power emerged: Shkodër, under the Bushati family ; and Ioannina, under Ali Pasha of Tepelenë.

Kara Mahmud Bushati attempted to establish an autonomous principality and expand the lands under his control by playing off Austria and Russia against the Sublime Porte.

Among these were important historical figures, including Iljaz Hoxha, Hamza Kastrioti, Davud Pasha, Zağanos Pasha, Köprülü Mehmed Pasha ( head of the Köprülü family of Grand Viziers ), the Bushati family, Sulejman Pasha, Edhem Pasha, Nezim Frakulla, Ali Pasha of Tepelena, Haxhi Shekreti, Hasan Zyko Kamberi, Ali Pasha of Gucia, Mehmet Ali ruler of Egypt and Emin Pasha.

* 2 – 6 March 1998 The Chairman of CDP, Zef Bushati and the Secretary of Foreign Relations, Frederik Mikeli are invited in Brussels ( Belgium ) from Wilfried Martens in European Parliament in group of the European People's Party ( EPP ).

He was born in Karachi ( then under British colonial rule ), to Aga Khan II and his third wife, Nawab A ' lia Shamsul-Muluk, who was a granddaughter of Iran Fath Ali Shah of Persia ( Qajar dynasty ).

Having not produced a legitimate child, the Salian dynasty ended.

Also as a compensation for the court as emperor Leopold I again reigned from Vienna and the Tyrolean stirps of the Habsburg dynasty had ended in 1665.

Following his return to Jiankang, Liu Yu ended the rule of the Jin and became emperor himself in 420, establishing the Liu Song dynasty.
