On May 12,, Reese was recalled by the Yankees from the Columbus Clippers to serve as a backup outfielder after Hideki Matsui broke his wrist.

Since earning a hard-fought spot on the Utah Jazz in 1998, which only lasted two months, he later played for the Los Angeles Clippers ( also playing during the short-lived 1999 season in the CBA ) and the Orlando Magic, where he first developed into an important player, averaging 12 points and 3 assists per game during 2001-02, while appearing in 81 games.

The Los Angeles Clippers then signed him for the rest of the season on March 12, 2008.

As the trade deadline approached, the Clippers sent Baron Davis along with their 2011 first round draft pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon.

In their first playoff game, the Clippers achieved one of the biggest comebacks in NBA Playoffs history, a 27 point lead the Grizzlies had held over them, to win their first playoff game of the season, 99-98.

The Clippers relied on their bench during that game, and they came through, scoring all but two of their points in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers play their home games at Staples Center, which they share with their local NBA rival, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL, and the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA.

The Braves relocated to San Diego ( as the renamed San Diego Clippers ) in 1978, and the Bills moved their training camp in 2000 to St. John Fisher College near Rochester, New York.

The Clippers continued to make frequent roster and coaching changes throughout the next several years with only one playoff appearance in 1997, under Fitch.

During the next round of the 2006 NBA Playoffs, Bell demonstrated his clutch abilities in Game 5 with a last second three-pointer in overtime against the Los Angeles Clippers to tie the game and send it into double-overtime, where the Suns eventually pulled away to win and go up 3 to 2 in the series.

He was traded the next year to the New York Knicks ( where his father played his entire career ); with whom he played for several years apart from half a season with the Los Angeles Clippers before retiring from the league after the 1992 – 93 season.

Ellis would play the next game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Douglas would stay in the AHL for the next three seasons, making the Calder Cup Finals with the Baltimore Clippers in 1971 – 72.
