The Arizona Diamondbacks are a professional baseball team based in Phoenix.

Despite their avowed claim to appeal to the entire state, in 2009 the Diamondbacks moved their Triple-A Pacific Coast League farm team, the Tucson Sidewinders, to Reno, where they are now known as the Aces.

The Silver Hawks are a Class A minor league affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Midwest League.

The South Bend Silver Hawks are a U. S. Class A minor league baseball team, affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks, that plays in the Midwest League.

Luis Gonzalez of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Cliff Floyd of the Chicago Cubs are the only visiting players to do so twice, while Carlos Delgado of the New York Mets has performed the feat three times.

The Visalia Rawhide are a minor league baseball team in Visalia, California, U. S. They are a Class A-Advanced team of the Arizona Diamondbacks operating in the California League and have recently agreed to renew their affiliation through 2012.

The most recent are the Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies, Oakland A's, Tampa Bay Rays, and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The players who were noted are Shane Spencer of the 1998, 1999 and 2000 New York Yankees, Damian Miller of the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks, Brendan Donnelly of the 2002 Anaheim Angels and Kevin Millar of the 2004 Boston Red Sox.

Craig Counsell, Miguel Batista and Jay Bell, also signed with other teams, as did Thom Brennaman, the original Diamondbacks play-by-play man.

Lee has the distinction of having the first hit ( a single ) as well as hitting the first home run in Diamondbacks history on March 31, 1998 in a home game against the Colorado Rockies, however the team lost the game 9-2 ( Lee also had scored and drove in the first runs in D-Backs history with that blast ).

His son Niko also played for UCLA baseball and was signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks on July 2010.

In the final game of the season, the Padres defeated the Diamondbacks 7 – 6 to win back to back division titles for the first time in team history ( they were tied with the Dodgers for the division title, but because of winning the season series against them, the division title went to them and the wild card went to the Dodgers ).
