Some well known stories include the Yuan Dynasty story Circle of Chalk ( Chinese: 灰闌記 ), the Ming Dynasty story collection Bao Gong An ( Chinese: 包公案 ) and the 18th century Di Gong An ( Chinese: 狄公案 ) story collection.

The story should not be trivialized as mere hippy dreaming-except that in true Gong style neither should it be venerated as any sort of lore.

One of the newspaper's reporters working on the organ harvesting story, Wang Wenyi, who practices Falun Gong, yelled at Chinese President Hu Jintao over recent allegations of organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China after using her Epoch Times press pass to gain access to a White House lawn press briefing.

Gong Ju ’ s family makes sure that no one hears her side of the story.

* Gong Li Quan （ 功力拳 ） or Power Fist Form: the second basic form using dynamic tension at the end of each technique which develops muscles and tendons.

Falun Gong or Falun Dafa ( literally means " Dharma Wheel Practice ") is a spiritual discipline first introduced in China in 1992 through public lectures by its founder, Li Hongzhi.

In 221, warlord Sun Quan moved the capital of Eastern Wu from Gong ' an county, Jingzhou ( northwest of present day Gong ' an county, Hubei ) to È county ( in present day Ezhou City ), and renamed È to Wuchang ( literally prospering from military, regarding its logistics role of the military bases established before the Battle of Red Cliffs ).

In general worship, Guan Yu is widely referred to as Emperor Guan ( 關帝 ), short for his Taoist title " Saintly Emperor Guan " ( 關聖帝君 ), and as " Guan Gong " ( 關公 ; literally " Lord Guan ").

The northern section of Zhongnanhai was the Taiye Lake ( literally " Lake of Grand Liquid "), with an attached palace called the Daning Gong ( literally " Palace of Great Peace ").

* Guan Yu ( 关羽 ), also known with the templar names of Guandi and Guan Gong ( literally ' Emperor Guan ' and ' Lord Guan ' respectively ), the red-faced, bearded hero of Romance of the Three Kingdoms and symbol of loyalty.

He was given the posthumous name Gong ( 恭, literally, " respectful ").

A more formal name for Tu Di Gong is Fude Zhengshen ( 福德正神 ), literally the " God of Fortunes and Virtues ".

Empress Xu Pingjun ( 許平君 ) ( died 71 BC ), formally Empress Gong ' ai ( 恭哀皇后 ) ( literally, the Respectful and Lamentable Empress ) and sometimes ( but not at all times ) Empress Xiaoxuan ( 孝宣皇后 ) was an empress during Han Dynasty.

Only little or incomplete case volumes can be found ; for example, the only copy of Di Gong An was found at a second-hand book store in Tokyo, Japan.

Liu Xianzhi, a former leader in the South China Church, has sought asylum in the United States and gives extensive testimony on the details of Pastor Gong Shengliang's case.

Gong Lum's case was not that racial discrimination as such was illegal, but that his daughter, being Chinese, had incorrectly been classified as colored by the authorities.

Since the ruling went against them, the Board of Trustees became the plaintiff and Lum was named the defendant in the case Rice v. Gong Lum, which was heard in the Supreme Court of Mississippi.

According to Der Spiegel, the case demonstrated “ how important fighting Gong is to the government ,” and “ points to the extremely offensive approach that is sometimes being taken by the Chinese intelligence agencies .”

In addition, the Ming decorum of rites, governed by the Ministry of Rites, in the matter of bestowing the title princess always used two characters followed by the title 公主 ( Gong Zhu, a title denoting blood-relation to the Emperor ) or 郡主 ( Jun Zhu, indicating a relation to a Duke or a non-royal relation ), such as was the case with Princess Changping 長平公主 and Princess Dongyang 東陽郡主.

On the facts of that case, it was held that the arrests were not lawful and constituted false imprisonment as the police officers did not have in mind the element of " without lawful excuse " when arresting the Falun Gong protestors for obstruction of public place.

The Bamboo Annals mentions that in the 20th year of Duke Huan's reign ( 369 BC ), Marquess Cheng of Zhao and Marquess Gong of Han moved Duke Huan to Tunliu, and after that there were no more records of Duke Huan or any other Jin ruler.

Thought has also made guest performances on several other records including " Pimpas Paradise " by Damian " Jr. Gong " Marley, Team by Dilated Peoples, One Day It'll All Make Sense by Common, Reanimation by Linkin Park, Pick a Bigger Weapon by The Coup, The Rising Tied by Fort Minor and A Ma Zone by Zap Mama.

They also released records on their own ' Bad Gong ' label.

* 1992 – Li Hongzhi gives the first public lecture on Falun Gong in Changchun, People's Republic of China.

Although the practice initially enjoyed considerable support from Chinese officialdom, by the mid-to late-1990s, the Communist Party and public security organs increasingly viewed Falun Gong as a potential threat due to its size, independence from the state, and spiritual teachings.

On 13 May 1992, Li Hongzhi gave his first public seminar on Falun Gong ( alternately called Falun Dafa ) in the northeastern city of Changchun.

Falun Gong exercises are practiced in group settings in parks, university campuses, and other public spaces in 70 countries worldwide, and are taught for free by volunteers.

Li Hongzhi introduced Falun Gong to the public in May 13, 1992, in Changchun, Jilin Province.

Shortly after his first public teaching, in September 1992 Falun Gong was recognized as a branch of qigong under the administration of the state-run China Qigong Scientific Research Society ( CQRS ).

According to David Ownby, Professor of History and Director of the Center for East Asian Studies at the Université de Montréal, Li became an " instant star of the qigong movement ", and Falun Gong was embraced by the government as an effective means of lowering health care costs, promoting Chinese culture, and improving public morality.

Until this juncture, Falun Gong had successfully negotiated the space between science and native tradition in the public representation of its teachings, avoiding any suggestion of superstition.

As public sympathy for Falun Gong declined, the government began sanctioning " systematic use of violence " against the group.

As public protest fell out of favor, practitioners established underground " material sites " which would produce literature and DVDs to counter the portrayal of Falun Gong in the official media.

Since 1999, members of the United States Congress have made public pronouncements and introduced several resolutions in support of Falun Gong.

David Ownby noted that alongside these tactics, the " cult " label applied to Falun Gong by the Chinese authorities never entirely went away in the minds of some Westerners, and the stigma still plays a role in wary public perceptions of Falun Gong.

Ethan Gutmann, a journalist reporting on China since the early 1990s, has attempted to explain the apparent dearth of public sympathy for Falun Gong as stemming, in part, from the group's shortcomings in public relations.

Barris became a public figure in 1976, when he produced and served as the host of the talent contest spoof The Gong Show, which he packaged in partnership with TV producer Chris Bearde.

Falun Gong was introduced to the general public by Li Hongzhi ( 李洪志 ) in Changchun, China, in 1992.

This was applied retroactively to Falun Gong, a spiritual practice introduced to the public in China by Li Hongzhi ( 李洪志 ) in 1992.

The government has not prevented Falun Gong members from carrying out their activities in public.

Li Hongzhi began his public teachings of Falun Gong on 13 May 1992 in Changchun, and subsequently gave lectures and taught Falun Gong exercises across China.

On 29 July 1999, after Falun Gong was banned, the Chinese government levelled a series of charges against Li, including the charge of " disturbing public order.

A former residence of Yixin in the western part of central Beijing is now open to the public as a museum called the Prince Gong Mansion.
