A descendant, Lewis Ferrier, jokingly called the Harbour Master at Queenscliff, gave the same name to his fishing boat. The Queenscliffe Maritime Museum website shows some paintings of ships that Ferrier did on the internal timber lining of the South Pile Lighthouse.

The Harbour Master and other lifeboatmen had no option but to make a swim for it, or face certain doom, Castle and Holbourn jumped into the maelstrom and made it to the lifeboat, whereupon, every option exhausted, the valiant band turned and rowed to shore.

In 1724 Grand Master Manoel de Vilhena ordered that a new fort had to be built near the entrance to Kalkara so as to protect nearby Vittoriosa and to safeguard from above the Grand Harbour.

The TPA grants operator's permits to recreational boaters in the harbour of Toronto, oversees land development, engages in trade development for its terminals, and appoints the Harbour Master.

Regulations: Vessels are not permitted to leave Chabahar without clearance papers from the Harbour Master.

The harbour is under the control of the Queen's Harbour Master, currently Commander Nigel Hare, who is the regulatory authority of the Dockyard Port of Portsmouth, an area of approximately that encompasses Portsmouth Harbour and the Eastern Solent.

Prior to the New Brunswick electoral redistribution of 1994 another riding called Saint John Harbour existed.
