Scholars have debated how Christian antisemitism may have played a role in the Nazi Third Reich, World War II and the Holocaust.

Human subject research, and killing of patients with disabilities, were at its height during the mid-20th century, with Nazi human experimentation and Aktion T4 during the Holocaust as the most significant example, followed up by the Doctors ' Trial.

Besides Austria, eleven other countries — including Belgium, France, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, and Switzerland — have criminalised Holocaust denial as punishable with imprisonment.

By 1944, there existed three divisions of the SS-TV, those being the staffs of the concentration camps proper in Germany and Austria, the labor camp system in occupied territories, and the guards and staffs of the extermination camps in Poland that were involved in the Holocaust.

Similarly, during The Holocaust, Jewish peoples were smuggled out of Germany by people such as Algoth Niska.
