This team did not attempt to mirror the League, but instead consisted of villains who had posed major solo threats to the JLA in the past.

The mini-series leads directly into the formation of a brand new JLA roster with Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Donna Troy, Dick Grayson as Batman, Doctor Light ( Kimiyo Hoshi ), Mon-El, Cyborg, Starfire, Congorilla, Guardian, and Mikaal Tomas.

In the story, Batman recounts the JLA and JSA's battle alongside the original Legion to defeat Mordru, the " Reboot " team's assistance in destroying a Sun-Eater in the 20th century, and his own recent encounter with the " Threeboot " team.

The villain retrieves his original helmet ( lost during the first battle with the JLA ) and battles Batman once again.

Batman prevents fellow member Huntress from killing Prometheus, before firing her from the JLA.

Oswalt wrote the comic book story " JLA: Welcome to the Working Week ", a backup story in Batman # 600 ; a story for Dwight T. Albatross's The Goon Noir # 01 and a story for Masks: Too Hot for TV.

In both " JLA " and " 52 ," Grant Morrison states that Luthor's ego leads him to believe that the only reason Superman commits good deeds is to somehow strike at Luthor and prove who is better, arguing that it is impossible for Superman to be as good as he appears to be.

In the alternate reality of JLA: The Nail ( where Superman was discovered by a different family after the Kents had a nail in their car tire on the day they would have recovered him ), the Guardians recalled the entire Green Lantern Corps minus Hal Jordan ( who was trapped on Earth by a Kryptonian force field ) to intervene when the cold war between Apokolips and New Genesis escalated.

Several alternate universe versions of the character exist: the Silver Age Bizarro appears in Justice as a member of the Legion of Doom ; one-shot The Superman Monster ( 1999 ), essentially a Frankenstein pastiche features a monstrous copy of Bizarro created by a Viktor Luthor ; one-shot Superman: Red Son ( 2004 ) features a " Superman 2 " created by genius Lex Luthor for the United States to stop the Soviet-based Superman ; and Lex Luthor creates Bizarro-like duplicates called " Liberators " in the limited series JLA: The Nail ( 1998 ).

* In JLA: Age of Wonder, Starman is portrayed as a fellow inventor alongside Superman, Thomas Edison, and Nikola Tesla, who invents his cosmic rod with technology gleaned from the rocket ship which brought Superman to Earth.

During the " Death of Superman " saga, the Blue Beetle and the other JLA members tried to stop Doomsday's path of destruction.

For DC their work includes Superman and JLA as well as cover work on Green Lantern.

In the aftermath of this, Donna is told by Wonder Woman that she could benefit from being a part of the JLA.

The Wrecking Crew have a brief appearance in the last issue of JLA / Avengers as a part of Krona's army, being single-handedly taken down by Wonder Woman.

Jimenez has worked repeatedly on several Teen Titans-related series ( some issues of the ongoing series New Titans and Team Titans, and the miniseries JLA / Titans, The Return of Donna Troy and Tempest ), was the main artist of Infinite Crisis, a sequel of Crisis on Infinite Earths and highly related to the historical limited series, and did a large run as writer / artist of Wonder Woman beginning with issue # 164 ( Jan. 2001 ).
