The album, which was produced and arranged by former Lovin ' Spoonful member Jerry Yester, received positive reviews, but Waits did not gain widespread attention until a number of the album's tracks were covered by more prominent artists.

Zal Yanovsky of The Lovin ' Spoonful lived in Kingston until his death in 2002.

Cavallo's management of John Sebastian led to a series of gigs as the opening act for the pop / folk singer and The Lovin ' Spoonful founder.

On the success of " All or Nothing " they were set to tour America with the Lovin ' Spoonful and the Mamas & the Papas ; however, these plans had to be shelved by Don Arden after details of Ian McLagan's recent drug conviction were leaked.

Some of the discarded tracks appeared on the What's Shakin LP shared with the Lovin ' Spoonful.

In particular, The Byrds ' influence can be discerned in mid-1960s recordings by acts such as The Turtles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Lovin ' Spoonful, Barry McGuire, The Mamas & the Papas, Jefferson Airplane, We Five, Love, and Sonny & Cher.

The Lovin ' Spoonful is an American pop rock band of the 1960s, named to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.

She continued to have hits with " Heartbreaker " ( 1978 ), " Baby I'm Burning " and " You're the Only One " ( both 1979 ), all of which charted in the pop singles Top 40, and all of which also topped the country-singles chart ; 1979's " Sweet Summer Lovin '" became the first Parton single in two years to not top the country singles chart ( though it still nonetheless reached the top ten ).

She became a part of the country music scene in Nashville in the 1960s, and in 1967 charted her first of 16 number-one hits ( out of 70 charted songs as a solo artist and a duet partner ) that include " Don't Come Home A ' Drinkin ' ( With Lovin ' on Your Mind )", " You Ain't Woman Enough ", " Fist City ", and " Coal Miner's Daughter ".

Two of the members, John Sebastian and Zal Yanovsky, became The Lovin ' Spoonful, and the other two, Denny Doherty and Cass Elliott, formed The Mamas & the Papas.

They rejected " Everlasting Love ", which became a # 1 for Love Affair, but later gave in to pressure and recorded, " Lovin ' Things ", written by Artie Schroeck & Jet Loring in 1967, and arranged by Keith Mansfield for Marmalade.

Another platinum success, the group entered the top ten again with the funk singles, " Once You Get Started ," " Stop On By ," " I'm A Woman ," and " Pack'd My Bags " ( later sampled for Jody Watley's " Lovin ' You So ") and " Please Pardon Me ( You Remind Me of a Friend )", penned by good friend Brenda Russell, which became popular among the group's legion of fans.

Just A Little Lovin became the highest charting album of Lynne's career, reaching number 41 on the Billboard 200.

His version, titled " Baby I Need Your Lovin '", was released as a single, and became a number-three hit on the Billboard pop chart.

Taylor, who became a disc jockey, and Steele, reunited briefly for a one-off single " You've Got Me Hangin ' From Your Lovin ' Tree " in June 1971, to almost universal lack of interest.

She then became part of pop duo Crush touring America, Japan and South East Asia, returned to England after signing to MTV hosting daily live show-MTV Select, and later became a presenter of several shows, including, The Big Breakfast for Channel 4, TFI Friday with Huey Morgan ( from Fun Lovin Criminals ), Popstars the Rivals Extra for ITV ( the show that discovered Girls Aloud ), to name a few.

While not released as singles, the songs " Got to Get My Hands on Some Lovin '" and " Wherever I Lay My Hat ( That's My Home )" became popular on the UK Northern Soul scene of the sixties as did the released singles.

The B-side to " Shop Around ", " Who's Lovin ' You ", became a Motown classic composition, mostly due to its plethora of covers, including a famous one by The Jackson 5 in 1969.

" I Was Made For Lovin ’ You " became a # 11 hit on the charts.

Steely Dan's Donald Fagen, The Lovin ' Spoonful's John Sebastian, The Beach Boys ' Brian Wilson, The Who's Roger Daltrey, Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, and Michael Nesmith of The Monkees each achieved chart success only once as solo artists, but are all well known for their contributions to music through their respective bands.
