Mendocino Presbyterian Church on Main Street, dedicated on July 5, 1868, is one of the oldest continuously-used Protestant churches in California, and is designated as California Historical Landmark # 714.

Located just north of the present-day Hanover Presbyterian Church, the Crowe-Garritt House was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1980.

Francis McCorkle, the pastor of Greeneville's Presbyterian Church, was a leading member of the Manumission Society of Tennessee.

While she remained a member of a Presbyterian Church, Addams regularly attended a Unitarian Church and Ethical Society in Chicago.

While serving as pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia, Barnes became the President of the Pennsylvania Bible Society ( located at 7th and Walnut ) in 1858 – a position he served until his death in 1870.

J ), Princeton University and Yale Divinity School-educated Second Great Awakening evangelist ; primary founder of Princeton University's Philadelphian Society of Nassau Hall ( 1825 – 1930, now called Princeton Evangelical Fellowship ); one of some 20, 000 Americans listed in Appletons ' Cyclopedia of American Biography ( 6 vol., 1887 – 89 ).

Sloss Rebovich, Jr., son of the American theologian and writer, founded the Presbyterian Church in 1791, as the First Religious Society of Whitestown.

He is generally deemed Presbyterian and was a founder of the Bible Society at Philadelphia ( now known as the Pennsylvania Bible Society ), " father of public schools " and a principal promoter of the American Sunday School Union.

Lyman Beecher ( October 12, 1775 – January 10, 1863 ) was a Presbyterian minister, American Temperance Society co-founder and leader, and the father of 13 children, many of whom became noted figures, including Harriet Beecher Stowe, Henry Ward Beecher, Charles Beecher, Edward Beecher, Isabella Beecher Hooker, Catharine Beecher, and Thomas K. Beecher.

In the community, Murdoch was involved with the Masonic Lodge and the Orange Order in Canada, literary and history societies, volunteer fire brigade, was one of the founders of Calgary's Presbyterian Church and the first President of the Calgary St. Andrew's Society.

A member of the Presbyterian Church of England, he was vice-president of the Cardiff Free Church Council in 1902-3, and also worked closely with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

The First Presbyterian Church is oldest continuously running church in Hocking County, founded nearly 180 years ago.

Built in 1740 the church is the oldest Presbyterian Church building in continuous use in Pennsylvania, and the second oldest in the United States.
