The RCA Dome, former home of the Indianapolis Colts, was known as the " Hoosier Dome " before 1994, when RCA paid for the naming rights.

The RCA Dome was replaced by Lucas Oil Stadium in 2008.

Previous events were held in the Market Square Arena or the RCA Dome, but given the new stadium built for the Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium began hosting Final Four events in 2010.

The Indianapolis Colts played in the RCA Dome from 1984 until 2007.

The Hoosier Dome, which was later renamed the RCA Dome, had been built specifically for and was ready to host an NFL expansion team.

Following their Super Bowl championship, the Colts would go onto a 13 – 3 record during the 2007 season and would lose to the San Diego Chargers in the divisional playoffs, which would be the final game the Colts played at the RCA Dome, with the Colts moving into Lucas Oil Stadium in 2008.

After 24 years of playing at the RCA Dome, the Colts moved to their new home Lucas Oil Stadium in the fall of 2008.

In addition to being larger than the RCA Dome, the new stadium features: 58 permanent concession stands, 90 portable concession stands, 13 escalators, 11 passenger elevators, 800 restrooms, high definition video displays from Daktronics and replay monitors and 142 luxury suites.

Marino led a 25-point fourth quarter comeback for a 34 – 31 Dolphins win at the RCA Dome, then in Miami Marino led another comeback to tie the game 34 – 34 with 36 seconds remaining ; Manning, however, drove the Colts in range for a 53-yard field goal as time expired ( 37 – 34 Colts win ).

In 2002 the Colts moved to the newly created AFC South division ; the two clubs met at the RCA Dome on September 15 where the Dolphins edged the Colts 21-13 after stopping a late Colts drive.

The 2004 season, the tenth season of the Jaguars franchise, resulted in a winning record of 9 – 7 with road victories against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field and the Indianapolis Colts at the RCA Dome.

Further the 50, 000-seat RCA Dome far eclipsed the 17, 000-seat Kemper.

North White High School " Vikings " football coach Jim Davis led the Vikings to an undefeated 14-0 season and class 1A football state championship in 1994 by defeating Sheridan High School 34-7 at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis.

The Metrodome is similar in design to BC Place before that stadium was reconfigured with a retractable roof and the former RCA Dome.

It also ushered in the era of other fully domed stadiums, such as the Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, the now-demolished Kingdome in Seattle, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, and the now-demolished RCA Dome in Indianapolis.

In the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers visited the RCA Dome for the second AFC divisional playoff game of the 2005 season.

It was Vanderjagt's first field goal miss in the RCA Dome in the postseason.

In 1975 the firm merged with Kansas City architect firm HNTB and went on to design stadiums including Giants Stadium, RCA Dome, Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and Ralph Wilson Stadium.

It was their second visit to Indianapolis ; they first visited Indianapolis during the 2004 season when they held a BFTS event at the RCA Dome.

RCA Dome ( originally Hoosier Dome ) was a domed stadium, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the home of the Indianapolis Colts NFL franchise for 24 seasons ( 1984 – 2007 ).

Shrinking demand and tough competition started a shakeout in the market in the early 1970s — RCA sold out to UNIVAC and GE also left ; in the 1980s Honeywell was bought out by Bull ; UNIVAC became a division of Sperry, which later merged with Burroughs to form Unisys Corporation in 1986.

Atkins also became manager of RCA Victor's Nashville studio, eventually inspiring and seeing the completion of the legendary RCA Studio B, the first studio built specifically for the purpose of recording on the now-famous Music Row.

While the compositions and performances were credited to " Jimmy Thudpucker ", they were in fact co-written and sung by Brewer, who also co-wrote and provided the vocals for " Ginny's Song ", a 1976 single on the Warner Bros. Wagoner also convinced his label, RCA Victor, to sign Parton.

Furthermore, RCA also claimed invention of FM radio and won its own patent on the technology.

In North America, Nuon was used in the Samsung DVD-N501 and DVD-N2000 models, they also released several models in other parts of the world: DVD-N504 ( Europe ), DVD N505 ( Europe ), and DVD-N591 ( Korea ); a Toshiba SD-2300 DVD player ; and two RCA models, the DRC300N and DRC480N.

Some of its members are rabbis from Chabad Lubavitch ; some are also members of the RCA ( see above ).

The following cooperation among RCA, General Electric, the United Fruit Company, the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and American Telephone & Telegraph ( AT & T ) brought about innovations in high-power radio technology, and also the founding of the National Broadcasting Company ( NBC ) in the US.

RCA was one of several major computer companies ( see also: Computing ) that also included IBM, Digital Equipment Corporation, Burroughs, Control Data Corporation, General Electric, Honeywell, NCR and Sperry Rand through most of the 1960s.

RCA ’ s Virtual Memory Systems, the Spectra 70 / 46 and 70 / 61 and the RCA 3 and 7 could also run their Virtual Memory Operating System, VMOS.

In 1994 James Sedares conducted a re-recording of the score performed by The Phoenix Symphony Orchestra ( which also included a suite from Bernstein's score for The Hallelujah Trail, issued by Koch Records ; Bernstein himself conducted the Royal Scottish National Orchestra for a performance released by RCA in 1997, but the original film soundtrack was not released until the following year by Rykodisc ( Varèse Sarabande reissued this album in 2004 ).

RCA Victor also issued a 2-LP set what was virtually all the dialogue from the film soundtrack of A Man for All Seasons.
