The biggest hit from the album was Into the Valley, which became Skids ' best known song, and was adopted and sung by fans of Dunfermline Athletic F. C., the band's local football team, as well as Charlton Athletic F. C.

He was formerly lead singer with the art-punk rock group, The Skids.

Jobson's singing style with the Skids was highly distinctive, and he wrote the lyrics, while Stuart Adamson wrote most of the music.

The fourth and final album by the Skids, Joy was almost entirely written by Jobson and Russell Webb, as the other two band members had left, one of whom was Jobson's long time songwriting partner Stuart Adamson who moved on to form his new band Big Country.

However, Skids eventually departed the camp and was not heard of again for some time.

The X-Men Storm, Warpath, Hepzibah and ex-Morlock Caliban go after Masque in the tunnels, and find Skids unconscious after she was caught in the crossfire of an attempted raid on Masque's crew by other S. H. I. E. L. D.

Like many other mutants not deemed worthy enough to serve Apocalypse, Skids ' was one of many inmates in the Breeding Pens that escaped after the fall of Apocalypse.

Due to the experiments she was put through in the Breeding Pens, Skids ' powers have been mastered to such a point that she could shield herself and several others from Storm's lightning bolts.

Frostrup was first married ( 1979 – 1984 ) to Richard Jobson, former lead singer with the punk rock group The Skids.

Scared to Dance is the debut album by the Scottish art-punk band Skids and reached number 19 in the UK album chart in March 1979.

In the 10th anniversary of the Age of Apocalypse event, which takes place after the nuclear attack in X-Men: Omega, several characters who were not in the original storyline are introduced, among them are the Morlocks which includes Feral, Leech, Marrow, Skids and Thornn among many others unnamed mutants.

Realizing the complex dangers of Ravage's intentions, Optimus takes off with Ultra Magnus in a shuttle to intercept Unicron and use the Autobot Matrix of Leadership to destroy the planet-eater, while Autobot Skids is ordered to initiate " Operation: Distant Thunder ", which would send the information gleaned from Ravage to their past selves at a point in history prior to the Decepticon cat's meddling, thus theoretically warning and preparing them for Ravage's assault on time and hopefully stopping him before he could do so, with the Binaltech project smoothing over most of any temporal hiccups afterwards.
