The Strategic Air Command is the principal element of our long-range nuclear capability.

The Joint Space Operations Center, part of United States Strategic Command ( formerly the United States Space Command ), currently tracks more than 8, 500 objects larger than 10 cm in LEO, however a limited Arecibo Observatory study suggested there could be approximately one million objects larger than 2 millimeters, which are too small to be visible from Earth.

In 1998, the Strategic Air and Space Museum moved 30 miles ( 48 km ) southwest to Ashland, just off Interstate 80, midway between Omaha and Lincoln.

With the restructuring of the Air Force and the disestablishment of Strategic Air Command ( SAC ) in the early 1990s the wing first came under Air Combat Command ( ACC ) in 1992 and then under Air Force Space Command ( AFSPC ) in 1993.

The Fourteenth Air Force ( Air Forces Strategic ) ( 14 AF ) is a numbered air force of the United States Air Force Space Command ( AFSPC ).

In June 2002, the CIA commemorated the 60th anniversary of the Office of Strategic Services with a special publication of Studies in Intelligence and a new legacy exhibit on the OSS in the CIA Museum.

Secchia is on the Executive Committee of the Gerald R. Ford Foundation and is the overseer of the Gerald R. Ford Museum in Grand Rapids and Gerald R. Ford Library in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is the past chairman of the library's Endowment Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.

The CIA Museum currently maintains three exhibits of important historical intelligence artifacts at CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia Dedicated in June 2002 to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Office of Strategic Services, the CIA Museum's North Gallery houses an exhibit devoted to preserving the legacy CIA inherited from the OSS.

The missile base that is now the Titan Missile Museum ( complex 571-7 of the 390th Strategic Missile Wing ) was at the time of closure, programmed to strike " Target Two ".
