Originally active from 1985 to 1996, the band have had consistent commercial and critical success in Australia and New Zealand and international chart success in two phases, beginning with their self-titled debut album, Crowded House, which reached number twelve on the US Album Chart in 1987 and provided the Top Ten hits, " Don't Dream It's Over " and " Something So Strong ".

Her 1995 re-recording of " I Will Always Love You " ( performed as a duet with Vince Gill ), from her album Something Special won the Country Music Association's Vocal Event of the Year Award for Parton and Gill.

Something for Kate's third album, Echolalia won the Australian Rolling Stone Readers Poll for Best album, Best band, Best single, Best male vocalist and Best rock album of 2001 while also topping the Triple J listeners poll for Best album of 2001.

Norman indicated in 1991 that he had wanted to postpone Something New under the Son, the first album in a projected second cycle of seven albums, but to record: " a more street-orientated, guitar based, trash can orchestra of angry and honest songs I was writing and recording.

In 1976 Norman acquiesced and recorded Something New under the Son, a blues-rock concept album that some regard as his tour de force, and as " one of the roughest, bluesiest, and best rock and roll albums of his career or the whole industry ", that took its title from " an ironic inversion of a phrase in Ecclesiastes ", namely: " there is nothing new under the sun " ( Ecclesiastes 1: 9b ).

The full length ( almost 12 minutes ) version of " The Tune " was recorded in Hollywood in 1977, but not released until 1983 on the album The Story of the Tune, which is called " the continuation of Something New Under The Son on the back cover ".

In 1990, she contributed a cover of " You Do Something to Me " to the Cole Porter tribute / AIDS fundraising album Red Hot + Blue produced by the Red Hot Organization.

O ' Connor released two songs from her album Theology to download for free from her official website: " If You Had a Vineyard " and " Jeremiah ( Something Beautiful )".

Some of that may have to do with Brown deciding not to continue his career as he was now married to his famous wife, Whitney Houston, who with Brown, contributed a UK hit with their duet, " Something in Common ", from the Bobby album.

Her third album, What If It All Means Something, was released in 2002.

In 2009, on her album Running for the Drum, Buffy Sainte-Marie released a new version of " America the Beautiful ".

Woolfson, a songwriter and composer, was working as a session pianist ; he had also composed material for a concept album idea based on the work of Edgar Allan Poe.

Tales of Mystery and Imagination was first remixed in 1987 for release on CD, and included narration by Orson Welles which had been recorded in 1975, but arrived too late to be included on the original album.

On the 2007 deluxe edition release, it is revealed that parts of this tape were used for the 1976 Griffith Park Planetarium launch of the original album, the 1987 remix, and various radio spots, all of which were included as bonus material.

DiFranco was one of the first independent artists to own her own label, which has allowed her a considerable degree of creative freedom over the years, including, for example, providing all instrumentals and vocals and recording the album herself at her home on an analog 8-track reel to reel, and handling much of the artwork and packaging design for her 2004 album Educated Guess.

In 2010, the Australian a cappella Quartet The Idea of North was nominated for an ARIA for their seventh studio album, " Feels Like Spring ", bringing a cappella music back into pop culture.

This album is known internationally for its award winning sound and prestigious title.

In May 1979, while at the album release party for her second album, My Father's Eyes, Grant met Gary Chapman, writer of the title track ( and future husband ).

In 1996, Cook re-joined Freak Power for their second album, More of Everything for Everybody.

The Fatboy Slim album and Cook's second solo album Better Living Through Chemistry ( released through Skint Records ) contained the Top 40 UK hit, " Everybody Needs a 303 ".

In May, A & M in Great Britain released Six Pack, an expensive package containing the five previous A & M singles ( not including " Fall Out ") in their original sleeves plus a mono alternate take of the album track " The Bed's Too Big Without You " backed with a live version of " Truth Hits Everybody ".

However, by the release of 1978's Destiny, Tito would provide no lead vocals though he did continue to provide guitar riffs and, occasionally, compositions, including the 1980 track " Everybody " from the Triumph album, and the 1984 track " We Can Change the World " from the Victory album.
